I don't think this would be a big problem... given the unpredictability of email filters and the size of the Kellogg applicant pool, this must come up at least a few times a year.

As River said, you can probably just call the Adcom office. I gotta say, the people I've spoken to in the Kellogg admissions office are among the nicest I've encountered during the admissions process. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out

Hi, I have one question to the admitted guys:
I have been out of the country until 2 days ago, and I didn´t get an voice mail or so on. I checked my application status today, and there are still no news (neither ding, WL, acccepted). Does the admit office only update the online status if they made the call?

In the case of an admit decision, you will receive a call first an dyour status will updated overnight. If you are wait-listed or dinged, your on-line status will be updated first, and then you will receive an e-mail asking you to check your status.

Thanks for the support everyone, you guys are great!

Double good news this morning. The Kellogg alum in my area (she works for Yahoo) emailed me back and asked me if I can interview on 1/4/2008 (which I replied an enthusiastic YES) and I got a Super Saturday (1/19) invite from Haas. tis a good day!

I'll still give the admissions office a call after Jan 2nd to see if everything is ok, just in case.

haha, thanks. I would be happy with just NC's two predictions right now (Haas and UCLA). No invite from Stanford, and a supposedly 20-45% increase in app volume for Kellogg.

There were some adcoms in the office today, they might have made a few calls but I dont think many will go out until next wed. Probably will be a lot of decisions coming out next week, I have a feeling a lot of people will find out Wed. They haven't WL anyone yet so there will probably be a flurry of them next week too.

I got the 45% from someone who posted in this thread a few pages ago. Some others say 20%, so I just made it a range.

Just found out the work history thing was in Part I (I forgot), so I still have to contact the adcom to update my promotion... grr.

How do you know Adcoms were in today?

Well not today but the end of this week. I have been off from work for so long I completely didn't realize today was Saturday when I posted that. God its a nice feeling losing complete track of time.

I know they were in during the end of the vacation week because I called before the holiday and it said on her voice mail she would be in Friday. I later talked to a secretary and she said there would be people available to talk to during the end of christmas week.

Quick question to those of you R1 applicants. For Essay 4, do we have to start with "Outside of work I..." and "I wish the Adcom has asked me about..." in our essays? It kind of makes having a strong "kickoff" to the essay nearly impossible...

Did everyone follow those starting sentences? thanks!

Yup I started with "Outside of work I..." You have to put the question at the top of the essay so its just easier that way. I think they are looking for insight on you in this essay not how creative your intro is.

hey guys, is there a way to see the recommender questions for Kellogg? Every other school has it but I can't find the Kellogg questions. One of my recommenders who completed it said it was quite complicated and took him a long time. So I want to prep my other recommender and maybe give him a more customized outline or something.
