Y, I will be starting the 1Y program this summer. I have not heard of any movement on the 2Y waitlist (assuming that is what you were interested in).

By the way Im a MMM applicant. Could someone please update that on the first page? -- thanks

I don't think any of the R2 MMMs on here received any decision (Accept/Deny/Waitlist) yet or have they?

At least from what I could remember from DAK I, all or most of the MMM's I spoke to got their asnwers towards the end of the decision round. Can any of the MMM's confirm this?

According to the first page of this thread, Paradosso, vijapp, and domtri33 were all admitted on 12/12 while soni got his acceptance on 01/06 and another member found out about his waitlist decision on 01/06. So I suppose MMM admissions process probably tends to be equally random and rolling as well.

The first batch of MMM admits were announced around 12/12. Most of the MMM admits (reported on GC and Business week forums) got our call during this time but a smaller number heard from Kellogg closer to the official deadline.

Thanks vijapp!

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. So far though, I haven't seen any R2 MMMs (here or BW forum) report a decision yet.

Well I guess that beats a ding. Good luck with Ross, but don't write off Kellogg. Do they accepted materials while on WL?

Whoops! I thought you had a good shot at Kellogg GB. Anyway WL is better than a ding. Good luck with Ross.

Interesting, I'm surprised they sent you that with so much time before 3/30 (all the R1 WLs came out right before the deadline if I'm reading the first page correctly) as opposed to just waiting until they had read all the R2 applications. But indeed much better than a ding and I don't think they'd send you that so early in the round unless there was a very real chance they will admit you later on.

Yeah I agree with bostonsparky here. The timing of the WL is definitely surprising.

Yeah I was surprised to. Hence the ding. I think all the WL R1 was on the decision day.
The timing is unusual, but I interviewed in October since I was originally planning to interview R1.

I think it's not as good of a sign to get WL early, since if R2 has alot of better WL candidates, I might get converted to ding really quickly.

first thing u need to do is send an email to the associate director of admissions, telling her that you are very much interested in attending at kellogg, she told me that one thing she looks for when ppl are w/l is if they take the initiative to contact her, so email her tell her that you really love Kellogg and you would like to be converted to an admit..

follow this up with a visit to kellogg and ask for an in person meeting with the associate director if possible, she is very friendly and is walking around the admissions office..

good luck!

Thanks FN. Yeah I think there is too much going through my mind. Probably need to slow down and wait for the weekend to figure out how best to convert this.

Hey GB, I'm surprised you didn't get in, but as everyone has mentioned WL is definitely better than a ding. I think after you send an e-mail to the admissions director, you should talk to your waitlist manager. Since they have waitlisted you so early, I would think there's something specific in your profile which stopped them from admitting you. The sooner you can figure out what it is and address it, the sooner you'll be able to get the admit. In addition, I think the idea of visiting Kellogg and meeting the associate director is something you should strongly consider. If nothing else, it will show how committed you are about getting in.

Let me know if there's anything I can help with.

A number of people are reporting waitlists for Kellogg on BW, which seems out of character based on Kellogg's R1 practice. Strange.
