If this update were to signify a ding, I don't think we would ALL be receiving it on the same day. I find it unlikely that we would all get dinged at once... too many highly qualified applicants around here.

I think it is nothing to look into... just an update to everyone who has not yet had a decision rendered.

I am going to take it as a generic update or maybe even a positive change. At least our status messages don't say "unknown" like the BW post. I think based on last year's thread, the "unknown" update was a pre-ding change.

Yeah, I'm guessing they were getting way too much churn on their servers today, so they had to update that so that people don't bring them down. The site was taking an unusually long time to load this morning...

who knows, but I find it odd that now it says we will receive an email with the decision. this certainly doesn't pan out to the experiences the 2-3 people who got in so far have had.

Hi everyone!

Early in the process this change could mean either ding or admit, or nothing.

I got this message right before my admit in early December. Others got the message right before dings later in the process. Not a sign other than that Kellogg is about to make some decisions

""Thank you for your interest in the Kellogg School of Management.

The system is unable to determine your current status, please contact the admissions office at 847-491-3308 or [email protected] for more information.""

Perhaps they are trying to stem the massive flow of people to website checking and rechecking their status... and hence they decided to let everyone know they will get an email about the decision. Let's not read into this, there really isn't any point in it... like reading tea-leaves.

You can also take Steel's word as gospel. He's a Kellogg student too, ya know?

Thanks for the explanation Steel, my heartbeat rate now down at the usual levels of this period (137 or so).
