hey guys,

has anyone received the news (ding or admit) whose recommender(s) submitted their recommendations a bit after the deadline? one of my recommenders, who is uber-disorganized and even after like 200 reminders that the deadline was approaching, submitted the recommendation on Oct. 18th (3 days post-deadline) and i was told that this might cause a delay in notification.

am i the only one with this problem, wishing that i could go back and pick someone else haha so i don't have to deal with this gut-wrenching agony??

As I'm an international I'm expecting notification by email/status checker only as that seems to be the norm. So whats the difference between an admit and ding. Did intl amdits get an email saying "congrats" when accepted or is it the generic email saying decision has been rendered and then you log in get your result be in ding or acceptance?
Am just nervous...sorry!

Anyway, looks like they are handing out WL decisions (as per BW forums). Didn't think that happened till the end.

Thankfully I'm only yelling at my phone 2-3 times a day. That's normal, right?

Glad to know someone is in the same boat as me. I come full circle on a daily basis with my chances....I go from "it was my best app and #1 choice, I really like my chances" to where I am now with "look at some of these profiles being denied, you dont have a chance....might as well prepare for the worst."

With each passing day of no news, I feel like I'm one step closer to a ding, WL at best scenario.

So DuckPond, I'll see you back here tomorrow, around the same time? This another day of no news stuff is slowly wearing me down...

What should folks like me who have not yet heard infer? Is an acceptance a far etched dream, now that waitlists have started to pour in? :-(

despite what the ad coms and all other student ambassadors would have you believe, I think that generally, the shoe-ins hear first and for those that are borderline, it takes longer. i think there are some exceptions where they just haven't reviewed your file but that's the exception not the rule [it's almost january]. i'm not saying you won't get in because we all know many people get in up until the deadline. i'm just saying you may be more borderline. disclaimer: i'm still waiting for a decision as well. one man's opinion.

Pretty sure I have it figured out. The Kellogg adcom has stock in my local liquor store. I'll prob get WL on January 11th. They'll make a boat load....
