If my calculations are correct, Kellogg will start sending out decisions in 10 days or less. Scary!!!

My prediction is that we'll start hearing on the 19th.

Millias-Im interested to know-what is your prediction based on?

Posted from my mobile device

My prediction is based on a few factors.

1. Last year on BW forums, people started reporting admit calls on 2/20, which is a Friday, and 2/19 is also a Friday. The first reported admit on GMAT Club was on 2/22 or 2/23.
2. According to what someone from Kellogg adcom said in a chat (see several posts above), adcom will have had about 4 weeks of reading applications by the end of next week, and the dean will have had about 2 weeks of reading applications.
3. Kellogg also said that they will complete processing all applications by the end of next week. I know "processing" is a little different from reviewing, but I think that's an indicator, nonetheless.

Anyway, just my $0.02.

Hey!!

I applied in R2 and I had my telephonic interview on 28th Jan.

( Indian applicant)

Did you directly get the phone interview or you received the interview waiver first?
After looking at this, I think I am probably on the ding list.

I guess, this year will only have dings for me.

Chill. My understanding is that they do not even process the application until the interview is done or a
waiver is granted. So the interview request is not a reflection of the quality of your application.
If they like you, however, they WILL ask for a telephonic interview.

Jimmyfunk: Just curious ..On what date did you submit part 1 and 2 of your app?

Got an interview invite with an Alum in India yesterday -- dont know if its a good thing or usual ; I am a desi applicant living now in India, looking by all the interview waivers .. I dont think its that bad to be assigned to an interviewer .. but lets see how it goes, my colleague was telling me international applicants at Kellogg have slightly different processing ( especially Indians ) as there are so many applicants and so few places for internationals

Woohoo! I just checked my status and my application has gone complete. That's one less thing I need to worry about. Now I just need to get even more stressed out about a final decision.

My hypothesis is there are only a certain number of alum available to conduct an interview and the closer one applies to the deadline, higher the probability he/she will get an initial interview waiver.
I submitted both parts on the day of the deadline.

If you don't mind, can you share in which city you are based (i.e having an interview) in India.

I'm from hyderabad and had applied on Nov (part 1)for R2 and got waiver on Dec.

I am from Hyd as well ( Home town ) ... and I got an interview yesterday ( or day before chicago time).. I think there might be a bit of prescreening and probably not as well, who f*ing knows what the adcoms are smoking when they invite some one like me at Kellogg and get dinged at HBS/Columbia and I havent even heard from my alma mater Stanford yet... the only thing that might be going for me is that I work at ISB which was started by Kellogg and Wharton and I got a reco from my boss (exec director at the school ) who is pretty well known in both schools

Hi all,

Can you add me to the roll call? I received my interview invite immediately upon submission of part II of my application and interviewed on 01/28. I heard that the interviewers are required to submit the evaluation form immediately after the interview so I imagine that those that interviewed in late January/early February will begin to hear first? Anyone else recieve the interview invitation immediately upon submission of part II?

I guess you are also posting on BWeek forums (Kellogg thread), and going by that I can say u have an impressive profile. Reco from exec driector at ISB ...wow!!

All the best to you.

Because we share same location and you received an invite and I a waiver, I can safely assume that I have a "ding" in waiting :(

I wouldnt be so quick to judge my profile ... I really dont know what adcoms look at and why Kellogg invited me to interview, I have got rejects from HBS, Columbia where I wouldve been quite competitive, havent heard from the school I have already studied at ( Stanford ) ... and Wharton is still keeping me waiting for an interview .. so all I can say is that the application process is extremely randomn ..

dont be so hard on yourself .. there is a good chance you can get an interview after a waiver and getting in;

If not look at the opportunity around you man .. India is buzzling and people are clamoring to come to India and make the moolah here .. look at ISB if you are bent on getting an MBA ( doing some PR for the school :-D )

Hope you have a good app process and a desired outcome

Best

Just Found this forum and feels great to see so many of fellow Kellogg MBA aspirants.

I have my interview scheduled on Tuesday, I was wondering if my interviewer will already have a copy of my resume or should I take a copy of resume for them. If he doesn't have a copy of my resume, can I re-structure my resume a little bit to add a few additional points or does the resume have to be exactly same as the one I submitted with my application. Please advice.

Thanks
