Thanks! I like how she referred to the "misinformation" out there. LOL!

hotel Orrington is very nice and close to campus. Hilton and Best Western are also within walking distance.

Any idea on how Kellogg Adcom would react to an unsolicited letter of support from another manager for me? He is not a Kellogg Alum (or any B-school for that matter).
The thing is I could not request any recs from my current project because I couldn't say I was leaving. Since I submitted my app though I have switched projects and I can now ask for a letter from previous manager.

Would this help?? I felt my app did not bring out my work successes enough!
Worth it?

If you are a light sleeper, dont stay at the Best Western. The hotel pretty much sits on the Purple line train, and it runs 24 hours a day. The walls are thin and the doors slam very loudly. It sounds minor, but i was kept up all night by people coming in/out. Not the best situation before an interview. The difference in price to stay at a nicer hotel would be worth every penny.

I cant imagine they would use it during consideration for admission. On one hand, it would be your 3rd letter of rec, something they dont allow. On the other hand, it would replace an existing letter, essentially a change to the application after submission.
One thing you could do is to send them a note about your situation and let them know why you couldnt ask for a letter of rec before (although I suspect you mentioned that in your initial application)

Why would it be a third letter of rec? I've seen on this board and BW that a lot of people send letters of support no??
Do you know for sure that it would be a change to the application?

I have no hard evidence that they wont consider it. Simply speculating. From the admissions website: "Additional letters of support are neither required nor encouraged." Take that as you may.

@gmatbschool - For what it's worth, I had a Letter of Support written for me and my understanding is that it did not replace a LOR. For full disclosure, it was written back in January and was from a non-work related alum. It was sent electronically and Kellogg responded by saying they would put it in my file for consideration.

That's really funny. I stayed at the Best Western earlier this week, and was wondering what that periodic rumbling was. I had the same experience. I'm a pretty deep sleeper and the noise still woke me up a couple times during the night.

I'm a possible R3 applicant, and I'm hoping I can pick the brains of some R1/R2 applicants.

For Part 1, the Employment History section clearly states that "full-time work history" should be listed. What about part-time employment? I worked throughout college to pay for school, and I feel that my application would be lacking without this information. Thoughts?

Hi! I have foud dthis post yesterday...
I interviewed in early January for R2 (MMM) program and I'm desperatelly waiting for an update in the kellogg status update site. Has anybody seen any chagnes lately?
Also, from the roll-call in the first page, how many people are MMM applicants? There doesn't seem to be any distinction. Or, maybe this is an MBA only forum?
Thanks

My application still does not show either complete or incomplete. Anyone else with the same issue?

Kellogg Round 2 Applications Complete

The Kellogg Office of Admissions has completed the processing of all Round 2 applications. If you are a Round 2 applicant, we suggest you visit the Check Application Status page located on the Kellogg website for information regarding your application. The status check message will either confirm that all required elements are Complete, or if your status is Incomplete it will note the missing elements of your application. Please note we do not post status updates in the Apply Yourself application system. If you believe that you are a Round 2 candidate but do not see either of these messages when you check your application status, please contact our office at [email protected] or 847-491-3308.

All Round 2 off-campus interview requests have either been matched or waived in areas of limited alumni availability. It is possible that applicants who receive an interview waiver will be contacted, via email, by the office of admissions to schedule a phone interview if additional information would be helpful in rendering a final decision. Applicants may be contacted throughout the remainder of the round. Phone interviews will be scheduled throughout the month of March.

We will begin releasing Round 2 decisions early to mid-March until the notification deadline of March 29.
