OK. I guess we don't have to send in official score report then.

Sorry to confuse you. My native language is not English.

Can someone confirm that we do not need to have submitted official score reports?

Should I have sent one in? I remember the application said something about a delay but I am unable to check because the system is closed. But, it didn't say we needed to submit official score reports.

You do NOT need to send in a copy of your official score report with your application until you are accepted. (You DO need to list Kellogg as a recipient of your score report when you take the GMAT though!) This has no bearing on when you receive a decision notification (accept/deny/WL). As a R1 waitlister, I can only add some commentary to mitigate your worries. As the round progresses through the notification window period, I noticed that the decisions tended to be more admits and more waitlist, fewer dings. Dings tended to occur in higher proportion towards the beginning of the notification window period.

Some of the very late accepts were accepts with $$, though that was more of the exception than the rule. The majority of us who were biting our nails til the end of the window received a WL decision. Hope that helps shed some insight into what happened in R1, which may or may not extrapolate into R2! Take with a grain of salt :)

Why would you need to list Kellogg as a recipient when you take exam? I took my exam in July; I wasn't sure where I wanted to apply so I didnt list any schools.

Anyway, I just sent an official score report :D so can only wait and see...

Everyone should chill a bit with the methodology specualtion. I was out Saturday night with a friend who was a Kellogg student reader last year. The way this works is that everyone has a cubby with your app in it. When the student readers feel like it over this three week window they will randomly select apps and start to go through them. They then pass them on to the official adcom and decisions are made. GMAT, WE, interview timing, etc. have nothing to do with it. It is random.

"Feels like it" is a bit of a misrepresentation, don't you think?...I'm sure they have deadlines...Anyway, the application did say there would be delays if you self-reported your score versus submitted an official score report

Yes listing Kellogg as a recipient is the same thing as submitting an official score report...I think the verdict is you don't need an official score report until you are admitted

I am 100% sure of this answer. You must have your official scores sent to Kellogg before your application is considered complete. Because there can be a delay in pairing applications with official scores, Kellogg offers the opportunity for candidates to streamline the process by attaching a copy of their official scores to their applications. This last part is optional, and seems to cause a lot of confusion, but has nothing to do with whether or not Kellogg needs official scores.

MODERATOR: You do not need to submit OFFICIAL scores until after you are admitted. Self-reporting is fine. This post is wrong. Please try to relax everyone!

So...if you never sent them... Should you do it now or will they ask for them? My application went "complete" on the check status page a long time ago.

But my application has been 'complete' for weeks and I had not submitted an official score report and I saw this on the website:

Please note, an application with no self-reported GMAT score will be considered incomplete until the score is received and will likely result in a delayed notification decision after the designated application deadline.

Anyway, I will advise anyone who has not submitted an official score report to do so.

I would submit one if I were you.

Anyway, I will advise anyone who has not submitted an official score report to do so.

Its for applications with no SELF-REPORTED score. It has nothing to do with the Official score.
Even if you send the official score now, it will take atleast 2-3 days to reach them.
I wont bother.

One could also send an email with a pdf file of official score report. That is what I just did.

You can add me as a R2 applicant still waiting.

My girlfriend didnt send her GMAT scores to Kellogg when she took the test, and last Monday she got a one line email from adcom asking her to send a pdf of her score report, then she got the admit call on Wednesday. This slow rollout process is brutal.....
