RoyMcAvoy, PercyJ,
Add me up for the list of insane reading the status message obsessively for last two weeks to make sure there isn't a word or two changed somewhere. Glad to have this forum, else sometimes I get convinced that Kellogg has chosen me personally to torture with a tantalizing possibility (however low) of admit before they send the fateful ding or Waitlist.

I think you've stumbled on something...this is probably some Northwestern psychology student's project on how people handle the stress of waiting to be accepted into MBA programs. It's all a conspiracy.

Excuse me while I go check my status.

anyone have access to the facebook class of 2012? please update on how many people have signed up...

Why would you use fb group as a reliable source?
Every person who has decided to attend may not obsessively sign up right away.
Many people are probably waiting for R2 decisions before they decide where to go.
Even more people are probably holding off on announcing their departure from work in a public way... IFF I were in I would not want my boss to know?

not a reliable source...for the reasons you mention i have been adding a 30% fudge factor to the fb number....nothing scientific...just another data point to give my self hope or not...

I know MANY people who won't sign up to those groups on facebook right away. Reason being that if you are friends with a coworker/superior that doesn't know about your plans....well, you just pretty much told them in their newsfeed.

Definitely not a reliable resource...first of all, anyone can join...the group moderator does not verify that you've actually been accepted to Kellogg...second of all, many who have been accepted may not join for privacy reasons...when I joined, fb published that I joined in my news feed, prompting people to contact me. I soon left the group.

Those things are a little annoying anyway, people just seem overzealous; they are already organizing happy hours in 'hub' cities. These people seem to prioritize the hanging out/socializing aspect of business school a little too much.

hum...i tend to think connecting with your fellow admits is a good thing...after-all, a big part of bschool experience is about networking, why not start now :)

for those in LA, SoCal area, there will be a Kellogg admits meet-up next Tuesday, please PM me for details if you'd like to join!

The activity from Kellogg has slowed down quite a bit. Do you guys think it is fair to assume they're mostly done? And now just putting the final touches on R2? The last 50-75 seats?

different strokes for different folks I guess...networking should not always involve beers, I would hope

Anyway, I am on the right of the age spectrum, so perhaps, I have different priorities.
