Ding for me - found out via status check dated today. G-damned it - six apps and all I have is a wait-list from McCombs. F my life.

Stats: 29/M/760/corp strategy - interviewed mid Feb.

Good luck to all those still standing or wait-listed. Now to get $hitfaced..

sorry man....why dont you get your essays reviewed by someone?
precision essay will rip your essay apart for free...and so will a lot of other consultants...
just a point of view that might help you...

duderanch, I hear the McCombs waitlist has a lot of movement. I may be contributing to opening a spot on the waitlist in a few days. I hope it goes to you :)

Thanks Joe and Meggieski - I wish y'all the best of luck..

Tihor, my essays probably could have used some professional feedback, but I know what killed me app-wise. My undergrad GPA was below a 2.5...I screwed myself big time, and even though my optional essays addressed the reason situation behind my undergraduate performance and the steps I've taken to overcome those stats, I knew I was "ice skating uphill" (esoteric reference to the movie "Blade") the whole time. Between myself and another app, all things being equal with the exception of the other person having a higher GPA, I know the other applicant deserves the nod more than I do. I wish all of you the best of luck...

Add me to the list of Indians waiting to hear back! Is there any benefit to sending a note to ad-com of a recent promotion?
I just (<a week ago) got a promotion at work and a new business area (finance to marketing) and am debating how to communicate this if necessary.
Thanks all in advance.

First post here (pls add me to roll call tho I was lurking, so if that skews the stats, then nvm), but been following the thread for a while. Anyways, thought I'd pass on a bit of optimism. I received an admit call today after having previously assumed that as time went by, my chances were getting slimmer. So, yes there are still some admits out there! Good luck to all!

Congrats! Those are some pretty impressive stats. Were you awarded a scholarship by any chance?

Thanks! In terms of scholarships, none that they mentioned, so I'm assuming no. Just happy to be in at this point, though $$$ would have been nice too of course.

Monkbent/Jerz,

How is the atmosphere like in the adcom office? Have they made their decisions?

I know it's tough for you guys to answer this question. But still wanted to check

I have a feeling that the majority of the decisions this week will be WL/dings.

I'm not Monkbent, but I can answer you question. Yes, many ppl have been admitted after the telephone int. I'd venture to say that the percentage is fairly high

I still believe "No news is not bad news" for many applicants. I am an Indian MMM applicant living in Europe {high gmat and academics, hi-tech(Non-IT), International experience and excellent ECs}.

In Round1, majority of MMMs were accepted or denied within a 2 day period. Such bulk decisions for MMM applicants have not yet come out in Round 2. Secondly, I haven't noticed many Indian applicants posting their admits or ding. Both these facts help me keep my hopes alive.

Kellogg is my top choice and my best applicaiton (better essays and excellent interview). This week is a BIG one for me. I'll hear from both LBS and Kellogg. Cant say how anxious or nervous I am. But I just ordered a Nikon D90 yesterday. I will capture either my B-school life or my trip to 4 countries. I so much prefer the former though :)

Still no change in my status, but more relaxed knowing that I'll know one way or another by Monday.
