For those of you that have received your off campus interview assignments, has anyone had any difficulty getting in touch with your alum? I contacted him about 2 days ago and have yet to hear anything

I dropped mine an email yesterday, and called today, but had to end up leaving a voicemail. I'll have to try again tomorrow, I suppose.

how does Kellogg expect me to list my undergraduate extracurriculars in 100 characters on the application?
Is it a joke??

I agree 100 characters is ridiculous. Barely enough for a title. They must not give very much weight to that.

In the Kellogg application, in the "Employment History" section in responsibilities, do I post my Actual Job Responsibilities or the significant Achievements I've made?
I also have the achievements on my resume so do they want to know what actually my job description is?
thanks in advance

I just put a narrative in that section about my overall responsibilities in each position, then on the resume focused more on achievements and what not

I finished my tour/class visit today. They had a campus tour at around 10:15 and around 2 or so. I picked the 10:15 tour as all the classes for 10:30am were full by 9:30 itself. I did get a Business Strategy class at 1:30 with Mazzeo which was nice. We did do a lunch with student from 12 to 1. It's better to go early to sign up for a class you are interested in. Hope this helps.

Heh! Did the exact same thing a year ago! Did prof.Mazzeo discuss the competitive advantage of Enterprise Rent-a-car? :)

Same here, I went last year to Mazzeo, they were talking about Edwards

Nope. This time it was about some used golf ball company. Some new technique which turns golf balls grey if they are in water for 4 days or so.

Sounds interesting Javaexe!

Good luck with the interview GoBruins. Aren't there any international applicants to Kellogg around here? All this interview fever is getting to me. Need to know how the process works for those applying from outside the US.

Good luck to all with interviews!
I'm an international and just submitted Part 1 yest - no news yet on interview assignment - too soon I think.
Quick question - for my most recent job I think I stated my starting salary a little higher by mistake. Current salary is correct though. Any idea what they use this info for and if I should contact them to correct it?

Thanks!

Generally they'll look at salary increase as a proxy to see if you had increasing responsibilities or were successful in your job. Of course, the scale of increase varies by industry, so just because you're not making banker money as an engineer they won't think you're less successful.

I would send them an email to let them know about it, just to be on the record that it was an unintentional error.

Can you boil it down to something very simple? Mine says "To lead a healthcare private equity fund."

Count me in - 2 Yr MBA Program - Round 1.

Just wrapping up Part 1, and have a quick question - what are people putting down in the "Long term Career Goal" box, in the Current Employment/Career Goal section? It's hard to describe one's goal in a single line.

Thanks. The simplification served as a good reality check/assessment of my actual ambitions. More useful than I originally expected.

On an unrelated note, still working on first drafts for an essay and some; panic's beginning to set in.
