So, random thought ... but has anyone else found that they're severely lacking motivation at work now ? I'm so preoccupied with interview prep that I spend time at work rehearsing and reading from my interview prep material ... lol

I made that mistake the first time I applied...acted like I was gonna get into B-school anyway so why care..I'm wiser now...realized that this s**t might work out for nothing in the end, so am keeping my interview prep/essays strictly after work.
I asked this a few posts back, but I didn't get any reply. Apologies for asking again -
I have my interview set up for Oct 21st with an Adcom who is flying into my city for two days. Would it look bad if I ask to cancel and reschedule with an alum? Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
I had the same thing, and then I was kicking myself for signing up for the interview. Although I don't think it would really affect anything since most likely that same adcom wouldn't remember you when time to review your application, I would still say you should go through with it. It's only a week out, and I think if I was an adcom I wouldn't be too happy that I had an extra hour to sit around because someone cancelled..
Hopefully you can get your company to send you to egypt on a last minute business trip, that would be a great excuse ;D

I had an on-campus interview with an adcom, and I figure that if you interview off-campus with the adcom they will treat it the same way, but once the adcom writes your post-interview report, he/she no longer has any input into your Admissions decision. The lady I interviewed with even invited me to contact her later regarding my application since she would then be in a non-evaluative role. Hope this helps! Good luck everyone!
Its ok for me to go ahead and submit even if my 2nd rec isn't in yet right? He'll get it in before the R1 deadline but just wanted to make sure that I can still submit my portion for R1.

Of course. You can and you should. Some schools have a grace period for late recos, but not for late application submissions.
Is anyone else having technical problems with the application website *right now*?
If this is still happening tomorrow, I will not be a happy camper!

I tried at 6pm Last. Was ok back then. Yes I'm banking on the time available till tomorrow midnite. If the website decides to show me who's boss tomorrow, I'm screwed !!
Just out of curiosity, is everyone double-spacing their essays? I didn't see any mention of that in the application instructions so I assume it's either or...
I think it's mentioned somewhere to doublespace. It's better anyway, makes for much better reading. Do we need to put page numbers? I remember they asked us to do it when their essays had page limits in place of word limits.
By the way, good to know I'm not the only one waiting until tomorrow to submit.

makes sense wiseguy. I haven't put any page numbers in my other 2 apps, and I didn't see any mention of that in the instructions.
anyone can just submit the app a week in advance, it makes the whole thing more exciting when you wait until the day of...
