One guy mentioned this morning he was dinged....the reason you don't hear about dings is a lot of people probably don't want to post they've been dinged...

I would think so too, but plenty of people who got dinged at the interview stage at the Wharton and Booth threads chimed in.

anybody has any idea or any speculations on the order of admits or dings? would it be by submit date/gmat score/location/age/gpa/industry pre or post/interview date or whatever...
just trying to think abt something other than just admits and dings... anyways i am not any productive at work... with no progress its getting harder to write my bi-weekly status reports!!! didnt know bs-ing could have limitations...

Last year plenty of people posted dings - I also think that it's a little strange that only one person has been dinged.

I also echo that I'm completely unproductive at work right now. I don't get why. It's not like I'm going to be pumped to get a ding and want to get right back to work. But I can't stop myself from updating my email and checking my status online.

this person mentioned that he/she got a ding email... that does not explain true or fake... but anyways i believed it...
so good luck to everybody who is waiting... hope we all get at least one admit!!!

He was a new member who posted no details except it was "by mail"... and he never posted in this thread before that. And there were no more dings. Which seems incredibly unlikely. It just sounds fishy. People are weird and do post fake things.

But of course I could be wrong. And I'll probably get a ding in a few minutes and no one will believe me, haha.

I'm pretty sure nothing good would come of this. They have already looked through your application and have almost definitely rendered a decision, you just don't know what it is yet. Only thing it would do is give you the opportunity to flub up the conversation or appear desparate, and then you'll feel like a complete idiot after.

Unless you have been keeping in touch with this person and think it wouldn't be weird to contact him/her right now.
