Any chance there is a pre-WL waitlist? For instance, your app comes up, they say yep looks OK, probably, but lets see what else is in the pile. If there are some definite no's, he/she moves up. If there are definite yes's, he/she moves down. If there's not a whole lot of movement, they go on the waitlist. Kind of like a purgatory to get into purgatory.

Any chance? Wishful thinking since my interview was in early October?

Whatever their method is, it's not as clear cut as application/interview dates. I think what you suggested is plausible - it's similar to the "easy admits first" method others have brought up. I think if it were strictly based on when you applied or interviewed, someone would have figured that out by now, and everyone would know.

Good luck to all the R1 applicants and congrats to those who have heard good news. I'm still working on R2...

ok, lurker from a really long time ago but I decided to post my info cause I know I wanted to know everything I could about everyone ...

I'm in! Just got a call Yhana Chavis 20 minutes ago.

I applied for the MMM program. I handed in both parts of the applications right before the due times. Had my interview on 12/6 (really late so I wasn't expecting to hear decision for a long time).

26 years old / female / Caribbean / 3.3 GPA from Ivy (engineering undergrad) / 760 GMAT / 4.5 years diversified financial services / lots of community service and extra curriculars.

I can't remember what other data I should give - I'm so excited! Good luck to all, and seriously, thanks for the support that you gave me while I was only lurking.

Yeah I believe you are right...so we have about an hour left.

Today has been the most unproductive day of work. If I don't hear anything in the next hour then tomorrow will top it...

I am thinking that one ding is a fake one. Usually it's all admits first. As much as we are, K is also excited about admitting a new class.

I got a call from an unknown number and the dude was asking for Maria.. It was a wrong number ..I almost had a heart attack. The admit call still eludes me :(..

those who r not applying can pull pranks at such wrong times...
just now a friend sent me a incomplete txt from his google voice number (i didnt know this number) saying i am in... that just got me super anxious... i know adcom doesnt txt and they will call or email... but i guess i was ready believe anything that says i am in...

I second that. Based on the activity seen here, I would be very surprised if by end of day tomorrow (Friday) > 10% admits are still left

I'm in! I'm still sort of in shock about the whole thing. Here's my stats...

2y program; Interview w/alumni off-campus on Oct. 20; GMAT 750; GPA 3.67 large state school; Male; lots of good ECs; will have 8+ years of work experience when I matriculate (I'm old!)

Today very quickly went from a bad day to a VERY good day. :)
