Such frantic past 3 days - I'm not sure whether the fact that the activity hasn't gone down is good nor not.

I check my status page every 10 minutes but it's same.

And BTW this is why I don't like "accepted-lurkers" - they pop up once and gone.

So I'm coming out of the Lurkers and being an active poster.....I told myself I would only occaisionally glance on the forum to see what people's opinions were, but these last 3 days have taken a toll on my psyche.

I was thinking maybe being an active partipant would help me through this!!!!

Like many of you, I am an R1, interviewed 11/2 for 2Y.

No email, no status change.....just waiting....

Although at this point I feel like the chances of an acceptance is evaporating quickly. I will continue to hold on to some faith though!!!!!

I hate to be the pessimist, but I think it is the calm before the storm. I'm worried it may hail dings over the weekend or monday morning.

I still think there are some admits that will trickle in, but its looking worse every day.

Has anyone who was interviewed by phone gotten an
answer?

I was interviewed via phone on Monday and then heard back yesterday.

On another point, you guys are asking if they have taken off for the day. I had to call AdCom today to get something sorted out with some information that they gave me yesterday. Yhana (the Associate who had called with my acceptance) said that she was taking off at 3pm CST. This may not stand for everyone in Admissions, but it may help ease your mind a bit (I hope so).

Dear Beth,

Yes, I'm writing to you specifically and not the broader AdCom because I know you are waiting for the perfect moment to suprise me with an admit call and a succulent scholarship offer. Well that moment has arrived. I'm writing to you from an airport lounge as I wait to embark on ~20 hours of flying. In the interest of maintaining the sanity of my fellow passengers, I suggest you call me now to appease my escalating neurotic ticks. No one on the plane wants to be disturbed by my regular nightmares over getting a *ding* and the accompanying screaming and sobbing. Nor do I want to risk the safety of the flight by steathly turning on my mobile phone in hopes of receiving a sliver of signal over the Atlantic just to find a pleasant voicemail from you.

Please don't preceive this as a threat. I just can't control my neurotic urges. Just saying.

My mobile phone is fully charged and my thumb is poised on the "answer call" button.

Well, its been GOOD that I was tied up with work since morning!! Becoz without any call/email from kellogg, it is really tough to be refreshing these forums...its nice to sit and browse through 10 pages at one shot!:-)!! For all who are in, HEARTY CONGRATS, especially for the lucky couple!! for all who are dinged, probably there is something better for you all...and for those who are in my shoes, the agony continues...well, lets forget it and get back to our 'normal' life...if it has to happen, its gonna happen...irrespective of our mental state...so relax and enjoy your present!!

Seems about right. I think also that person with an interview in december already had the application reviewed and the interview was the last straw in the process.
