Hello all. Could you please help me with a question ? :?:

I understand that everybody is freaking out with the R1 results, but I have a question about how to fill the academic information section.

How should I include graduate-level, non-degree, courses ? I do not have GPA or rank in class. Should I leave blank the "degree awarded" field ? What about the major, can choose one even though it was non-degree ?

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hate to break up the excitement.. but my Kellogg interview is tomorrow late afternoon. Any last minute tips on preparation or things I ought to focus on?

be cool! refresh ur essays! prep up the sample interview questions from accepted.com...have couple leadership and team work examples ready...i think u will do great!!!

One question that caught be a bit offgaurd was "what sort of leader would you like to be after your time at Kellogg"

Which was followed up with "If thats the leader you want to be, do you have any specific examples in your career where you have displayed those particular leadership skills"

I thought it was a bit different than the usual "give me a few leadership examples" question

I'm not sure I can do this anymore. I haven't slept since last Tuesday, I can't focus at work, and I'm so stressed out that I might break out with shingles at any moment. One of the admits should print this thread out and show it to AdCom once they're at Kellogg, so those guys are aware of the misery they're causing twice annually. This is ridiculous in every way, from the 10-day long window to the utter mismanagement of dings. Every other school seems to manage the process better and more humanely, so why not Kellogg?

Thanks folks for your responses. I'm reviewing the ClearAdmit interview guide and my application to see how it all fits. Hope123: That's a pretty interesting take on leadership, thanks for mentioning it!

Oh Tyra, it'll all work out.

I have a feeling they are deciding today between waitlist and admits for the bulk of us left overs.

That's the best speculation i've heard for today.

I don't buy any of the whole "it's random" stuff either. Most of the admits went out until the 13th, which was written in one of the earlier pages, and seems like a lot of dings came out last night. Scholarship calls seem to have gone out on Friday as well.

I agree. I am guessing there will be a final wave of admits/dings today. If you survive the last wave of dings (no email tmr morning), you will likely be Waitlisted.

I'm kind of worried that there have been no admits reported today. If they're done with admits, that means they're just trimming down the waitlist now.

Honestly, guys, feelings? Guesses? You want to be mba students, draw conclusions from some facts. I really disagree with some of the pessimism based on thoughts pulled out on the aether.

This board is also an incredibly small sample size. Just because nobody on here heard today, doesn't mean nobody is hearing.

It's a crappy process and you don't have to agree that it's random, but until you know for certain how it's done, don't just say "this is the final wave" because I can point to a very similar post 4 pages back with a poster saying the same thing. And a day later that person as proven wrong. There is still hope for everyone out there waiting.

I'm not giving up hope but I wouldn't call this a small sample size. We've had what, like 50 admits out of maybe ~300 total for round 1? That's a pretty decent sample size. The only thing might be that there's a lot more dings coming in then what's shown here because a lot of people will join to post they got in but not to just say they got dinged.

Agreed. The Kellogg msg board on gmatclub is by no means a small sample size. Maybe for other schools it is. But 50+ admits is a significant chunk to deduce trends
