How to get a ding from Kellogg:

1. Go to your email account but do not log in
2. Opent the GC forum and go to the last page
3. Look at responses and see whether ding emails or status changes are happening
4. Open the Check Application Status link on a separate window
5. Log into your email account and find the dreadful email (you know that is the one since you received 9.50 EST)
6. Log into the Check Application Status and...
7. Ding

Kellogg was my top choice! However I am thrilled with my acceptance to Tepper (CMU) so it looks like I am bound to Pittsburgh.

Good luck to all those admitted and my best wishes to those waiting for a decision!

I think that's because no one in the US was checking their status at 3am local time. Indians were much more likely to be awake.

Jock4MBA, I like your post and you are right, a lot of those on the board are going to other amazing b-schools. I do not agree however with the Steeler comment...the Bears are better :-)

No, not yet. I also am waitlisted at Booth and Kellogg is my only other chance. I like both schools so if I get into Kellogg maybe I can withdraw from Booth and increase the odds for the rest of the Booth waitlisters.

Not sure how optimistic I should be about Kellogg at this point, though. I think the odds of getting in probably decrease a bit each day, but it seems like my app went complete fairly late and my interview wasn't until Feb. 12 so I kind of expected to hear towards the end.

Spoken like a true Chicago resident and Bears fan, your loyalty comes true. :) Bears fans are more stoic, almost masochistic in their tolerance of set-backs. A good sense of humour also helps to be Bears fans.

I think Steelers fans are more self assured as they know their place in recent track record and you can't watch ESPN pundits without hearing how awesome Steelers are.
