I got the call today!!!!! I'm so excited - The lady on the phone heard me laughing as I answered the phone and asked if I was laughing because I knew why she was calling
The call came in just before noon Central time today. Stats are 31/M/720 (47q/41v)/3.4 gpa Ivy League/ Kellogg MMM program.

Are we speculating about alphabetical order or do we have some correlation to think this?

Thanks everyone for the congratulations Last name starts with S.
I can't imagine that has anything to do with it.
By the way, the lady on the phone knew about the boards and found it funny how much speculation has been going on since the very first call went out Monday morning. You'd better believe they know....

wow pretty quiet on the calls today... I'm thinking this a sign of probable waitlist in my future
Why? Do you think being called later means you were a less strong candidate? If I'm called on the last day, I want to think I'm as strong as the next one. Btw, congrats on your admits!

yes, if I get the call at any time I will not think that. It's the day after day of hearing nothing, coupled with the large release of waitlists at the end of R1 that makes me think so. But I'm in better spirits about it now, I'm thrilled with the luck I've had so far!
For what it's worth, I second MichMax3's theory... Simply stated, both admits and dings get released...but not WLs...so at least statistically, WL odds get higher with each day...
PS: yeah, I realize that the three pools are not of equal size :D

Please, for those who eventually receive a call: ask the adcom WHEN they believe that the calls / dings and waitlist notifications will end. Seriously, doing so the adcom would help to prevent a lot of ulcers and eventually heart attacks.
LaVerdad07, Thats awesome! Congratulations! You seem to have predicted your own fate this morning, about the FC Austin scholarship. Hope there's some good fate awaiting us all too.
Looking at last year's admits for R2, it seems like we're still quite a few admits shy of last year's 52 for R2. Maybe we'll see some more admits tomorrow?
Been lurking obsessively for the last few weeks and wanted to submit my stats - Got the call at 12:40 PST!!! Pretty sure I screamed Chris's phone ear off.
Stats: 25/F/760/3.4/3 Yrs WE in Mgmt Consulting + Biz Dev in Entertainment - currently LA based for the person who was asking about LA
Looks today dings outweigh admits. Still no news for me. Fortunately, work led me away from my PC and cell. It was a blessing in disguise as I didn't experience the anxious waiting so much.
I wonder why Kellogg spaces out the notifications like this ... can't we assume that 99% of us are already in one particular pile (admit, ding, or wl). Kellogg - where have you placed me?????
I really wish I was a more patient person, I really do.

Yeah, it sucks. My work efficiency is terrible and I can't concentrate myself to start thinking on a possible reapplication at the round 1. Now I understand when someone told me that applying on R2 is much worse than R1.
