Does anybody know if the 2 months that they say candidates should wait to hear back on the interview decision is to be counted from the day of submission of part 1 or from the part 1 deadline of the 14th? I submitted on the 7th of Dec. It's just a day away from the 7th of Feb and I haven't yet received a single piece of communication from them.

The adcom replied my email saying "At this point we are in the process of reviewing all applications to check for completeness. We are also working on matching candidates as a part of the off-campus interview process. When we complete these tasks, we will send you an email alerting you to check your application status. We hope to complete these tasks within the next few weeks. "

Hi Vibhav, appreciate your response. I'm not quite sure how no email from them is good news. Could you please explain? I was really keen on emailing them today; after reading your response, I am in two minds.

Bonnie, when did you email Ad com and when did you receive this email? Are you also too close to 2 months since you submitted part 1 but haven't heard back from them?

I submitted part 1 on Dec 8, and it's alreay been over 8 weeks...

I emailed the adcom on Feb 4 Sat morning, and was astonished to find that they replied me around 9 that morning.

Bonnie, thanks. I'm on the same boat (submitted a day before you did), though I haven't emailed them yet. Are you an Indian based out of India? It just feels weird that it's the only school that hasn't communicated absolutely anything yet and tomorrow it'll be exactly 8 weeks since I submitted. Anyone else who hasn't heard back from Kellogg within 8 weeks of submission of Part 1?

I'm a round 2 applicant and completed my on-campus interview last Monday. Is there a chance that the admission decision has already been made? I received an email from Kellogg's Net Impact Student representative that said :

Congratulations on your acceptance into Kellogg! Based on your interest in Kellogg Corps, the Net Impact Community at Kellogg, the 2011 Grad Chapter of the Year, invites you to join current and other prospective students for drinks and appetizers on the Friday of DAK. If you are interested in social impact, this is the place to be! This is a casual, come and go event that is located very close to other section night outs, so we encourage you to drop by and bring your newly established DAK friends!
It’s always thrilling to meet the next class of Kellogg students- we can’t wait to see you!

I'm not sure whether the email went to any other prospective applicants who mentioned an interest in Kellogg Corps or has this gone out only to admitted students which I'm surely not as I havent received any communication. The language seems a little confusing.

I don't think the language is confusing at all! I don't want to jump the gun or something but seems like due to some oversight, the clubs in question got access to the next batch of admitted students! Now, I wish i had subscribed to one of these clubs so that i could learn of my admission result

Nice

I'd say play along, ask for directions to the place etc. Finish the mail thanking them for letting you know ahead of the adcom.

Either way, someone's gonna get into trouble for this mail

I would not read to much about it. I do know that Kellogg takes about 2 weeks to review your application once it is complete. It might not even be correct. Odd's are the email was incorrect and the decision has not been made, but you never know.

Good Luck either way

Hopefully it hasn't already started. At the end of the article the Dean is quoted as referencing a transition over 5 years. I would assume that since R1 decisions have already been made, its too difficult to make budgeted enrollment adjustments mid year (unless this approach was decided upon at the beginning of the year and only released now).

Quick question for you guys. I'm located in the US and requested an off-campus interview. My application status recently changed to "complete" even though I have neither received an invitation to interview nor a waiver. I'm confused - does this mean I got a waiver but they forgot to tell me? Anyone else in a similar situation?

Here's the status:
All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been determined, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Application decisions may be released on or before the decision deadline, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last few weeks of the round.

Please note that applications are not necessarily reviewed in the order received, and the timing of one's decision is not an indicator of a candidate's strengths or weaknesses relative to others who applied in the same round.

I submitted part 1 on Dec 8, and it's alreay been over 8 weeks...

I'm not an Indian but I'm also an international applicant out of US. This morning my kellogg status changed to the following:
"All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. Maybe soon I'll hear back about the interview thing.

Exactly the same status here as well.

"If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview."

Can anyone who has received a waiver confirm if their status also says something similar? Btw, the link to verify status is at the pre log-in stage on the log-in page. It takes one to the Kellogg website.

Anyway, healthcareguy, bonnie and upperguo, from the above, would it be safe to assume that we will be interviewed? It doesn't mention a waiver anywhere. This is so confusing.

I dont think this status has anything to do with the assuarance of interview... I think it just means our materials are complete...

@onechance, did you receive an email alerting the status change? Or what do you mean by "the link to verify status..." I didnt receive any email, but just checked thru the "check application status" on Kellogg website.

Bonnie, no I haven't received any email whatsoever from Kellogg. I was talking about the same link that you are referring to. You can access the link from the Appy Yourself Application page (before logging in, on the left hand side) too. It takes you to the website.

Really hoping they send some email. No email in 2 months is nerve-wracking and if I may say, a bit strange for a school like Kellogg.
