Got the call from admissions on Wednesday, although I had left my phone in my car. Ironically, I was sitting in a restaurant complaining to a friend about how draining it was waiting for a response and how I assumed I was going to be dinged by Kellogg. I never thought that I'd overcome a really low GPA, but I'm thankful that everything came together and that I was able to get into my top choice.

On a side note, I want to thank everyone who has ever posted on GMAT Club. Many of you're posts were really inspiring and they helped keep my spirits up during the insanity that is the admissions process. Congrats to all of the other admits, and to everyone who got a ding, keep your head up. I was rejected by all 5 schools I applied to last year.

If anyone needs advice on overcoming a low GPA or anything else, let me know. Good luck everyone!

Anyone knows how Northwestern University loans with a non-US co-signer work for international students?
What kind of conditions must the co-signer meet?

Hi guys,

I need help with "how-to-get-off-the-Kellogg-waitlist"!
Any advice besides following the instructions provided by the school? :)

Saw this text on the FAQ page -
"Our waitlist applicants are welcome to call the office to speak with an admissions officer to see if additional information is needed but we kindly request that you wait until the week of April 2 to contact our office regarding your candidacy."

Does it make sense to ask the admissions officer which part of my application I should strengthen? Would appreciate any thoughts (esp if someone has previous experience being on Kellogg WL)!

Thanks,
V

Just for a point of reference, I'm in Kellogg fb group and I am not 100% decided on going yet. I think it's difficult to determine anything about how many admits/conversions there have been based on the facebook group. The class really won't take shape until late April/early May. People from R1 who paid deposits may forfeit to go to other schools and people who didn't join because they were undecided may jump on board once they commit to Kellogg. If you wind up on the summer WL, the facebook group would give a stronger sign to how much room is left at that point than it does now.

Truth. I just hang out in the FB group because it entertains me. On a side note I hung out with a group of Kellogg folks this past weekend and had a blast... This has to be the most fun school in the Top 10.

It can take a while to get your financial aid package. It took one person I know over 4 weeks. Yes there is hope for scholarships even if you weren't notified of one during the admissions call. These scholarships are usually smaller ($10k-$20k). Also remember Kellogg can award scholarships/fellowships up until school starts as some scholarship recipients forfeit their deposit and awards to attend other schools. I personally know of two scholarship/fellowship recipients who have declined their awards. Sit tight and let the financial aid process work. See what Kellogg offers you and then proceed from there.

You'll want to check your Kellogg email account, because that's were they send out preliminary offers (not on Caesar).

Hello all:)

Quick question. I was perusing the technology requirements and came across the recommended minimum hardware specifications of a model: 13” MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. Does this mean my MacBook isn't going to cut it?

Has any international student received the I-20 document? How long in all did it take to get it?
Does anyone know why these processes (Financial Aid Application and the I-20 request) take so long?

Infiniti - The Net ID and email ID comes with the admitted student's binder that they send out. You don't need to have accepted the offer to get access to these resources.

I don't think you'll find any PT applicants in this thread. From what I can see we've all applied to the FT programs (2Y, 1Y, MMM). I think I saw a PT thread a few months ago so maybe do a search for Kellogg PT. Good luck!

I love the shout-out on your blog post! Yay MPLS Family! And, btw your analysis of Booth at the end is spot on... If Booth is the 'practical, loving, nerd hubby' Kellogg is totally the Boris Kodjoe of hubbies.
