Hey guys! Is there any group for accepted students?

As of now, there is no separate group of LSE admits but you are welcome to start a new group for admits; I will make sure to promote it among admits and across GMATClub's social media channels.

It will give us a better idea of at what stage in their applications everyone is in and if there are any admits among us.

Thank you!

Anyone here applied to the MSc Finance 2022 intake? How long did it take before you heard back with the results of your application? I got accepted to my 2nd choice masters (not LSE) and I'd need to make a deposit within 2 weeks to secure my spot. I've thought about reaching out to LSE to ask if I can hear back from them earlier (hopefully 2 weeks from now), but I'm worried that will have a negative impact on my application. Any advice?

I have received an email from LSE that the Department of Finance has recommended me for a place in the MSc Finance and Economics programme and I should be getting an official letter in a few days. Is there a chance that they can reject me now?

Hi everyone, i just found this chatroom, anyone familiar with applying to LSE msc finance?

My profile is as follows:
- Bachelors international business administration from Tilburg University (GPA 9.1 / 10)
- Two honors programs (on socioeconomics of migration, and one on leadership skills): about a year and a half of workload on top of bachelors)
- Studied at National University of Singapore for half a year (gpa: A)
- Internship in M&A at PwC
- Worked a parttime management position at a tutor organization for 2 years during studies
- Tutored finance on all prominent Dutch universities as part of that job (classes of up to 100 people at once)
- Extracurricular activities: worked in 4 student associations, volunteered to do the finance/accounting of a fair trade coffee brand.
- Gmat: 710

And then i have some odd certificates in machine learning, programming in python, public speaking

let me know what your thoughts:)

You have a great, well-rounded profile! You should definitely apply for the LSE Masters in Finance program, and I believe you will be given fair consideration.

The one area that might be sub-par is your extracurricular involvement, but that's only how you described it. If you have solid leadership roles and/or accomplishments as part of your organizations, that would be helpful to know and promote in your CV/resume/application.

Thank you for the reply!

So a bit more in depth on the extracurricular activities:
- Vice Chairman of a for-profit event called the Consultancy Days, we sold tickets to recruitment events to some big consultancy firms and organized a three day event filled with workshops and recruitment opportunities. in total 600+ students and 12 consultancy firms attended the event. IBM in the end became a three year partner of our organization (communication with IBM was my responsibility)
- External Affairs Officer for two study trips (spain and scandinavia), responsible the acquisition and maintenance of relationship prior and after company visit.
- One role less relevant.
- Financial Advisor (voluntary): Automated the pipeline of the entire organization (customers relations, sales dashboards, financial statements), directly responsible for the communication between the sales, marketing and finance team. Developed a training program for the sales team.

Others:
- Owner of a landscaping company, currently mostly engaged in B2B.
- Volunteer in Cambodia as english teacher on an elementary school (every summer)

Due to having to submit a one-page CV, i'm unsure about what to include on my resume. What would you deem most beneficial to include?

Hi folks,
I've been enlisted in the waitlist for the msc in Finance at LSE. My question is, how should i interpret this? I came up with two possible explanations:
1. I am not an excellent candidate but not even the worst one. They didn't reject my application just because they want to see if those applying in the next weeks are way better than me.
2. I comply with their requirements but they have already filled all the seats/made too many offers and they need to wait if someone is going to drop.

In the email , that sounded pretty automatic, it's written that they will make a final decision within 8 weeks.

How would you interpret the fact that i've been included in the waitlist?
Thanks!
