Sounds like you did a great job with your interview, rgajare14.

I wish I felt the same consistently since yesterday. Thrice I felt what you said above and at least 10 times, I felt I didn't do well. So I decided to stop thinking  and decided to refocus on my R2 apps :)

BTW, did you notice that the App Complete email said that the decisions will start coming out two weeks before Jan 15 - "Please note that we will reach out to you via email approximately two weeks prior to our January 15th notification date with specifics on how to access your admission decision."

I called up Ross admissions and they informed me that interview invites will go out till mid December. So still lot of time to go!

Thanks for the info! It's hard not to get disheartened....

I won't be crushed if I don't get accepted, but I think I'll take it badly if they don't even think it's worth interviewing me!

Oops..This could very well mean just the process to access the decision - but not the decision itself.

I feel like I heard somewhere that people will begin getting admits before the Jan. 15 deadline. I wonder if people who interviewed earlier will begin to hear back earlier...

Read last year's thread. A few people got a call a day or two before the decision date, but that's about it. Some people didn't get any call at all and found out via the online system.

That's all it is. Two weeks before the decision date you'll be provided with a website and a login id/password. You'll use this to access your decision on the date of notification.

Hey aakashganga

I have a question. What exactly is your friend doing in India after graduating from Ross? Actually I am planning to do the same but with 120$ loan I don't think I could work in India and possibly be able to pay-off the loan. Any idea how is he managing?

I had also read in some thread, I think it could be last year Ross thread, that one of their MAP projects was to develop market entry strategies for Infosys Technologies in Asia Pacific. So a team of Ross students went to Bangalore and were there for seven weeks. Pretty cool ?

I also got a feel that Ross (and now a days many schools) have a lot of focus on India. During my visit to Ross, I sat in a class on "Business Strategies for Base of Pyramid" by professor Ted London. They were working on a case study in which they empowered the women in rural Andra Pradesh to sell spectacles to old farmers who had presbyopia. The professor and one of the students had actually gone to Andra Pradesh a few months back and so it was a live case. I loved the class

The point of rambling so much was that, I think, with so much focus on India, I am not surprised that people are moving back to India upon their MBA. I too plan to do that but not immediately after my MBA.

wooster, I agree with your point that it will be more difficult to pay off the loan while in India. But the MBA salaries in India have shot up in the last 5 years. ISB's avg salary, I think was close to 20 lakhs per annum. And remember that's just the avg. I would imagine a Ross MBA would certainly make more than that.

Ross has also become a lot more recognized in India due to Strategy Gurus - C.K Prahalad and Gautum Ahuja. The respect can no way compared to what it is here in the US, but I think its growing rapidly.

Just my 2 cents !!

He joined GE's leadership program and was placed in GE energy division. For those who don't know GE is benefiting from the INDO-US nuclear deal. GE Energy is very powerful in India.

Looks like everything is quiet on the Ross interview invite front this week. Must be between waves of interviews.
