I don't see any reports on BW of people getting invites since that first day. So either they're going to take their time in distributing them or they pulled an HBS and sent virtually all of them in one day.

I know from experience that all applications change to "complete and being evaluated" and will remain that way until an admit. Even when you're dinged, you won't see a change.

I wonder if MIT applicants are just less active on the boards. I personally know 2 people with invites out of the 4 people I know that applied. Yet there are only ~4 reported on BW, here, and admissions411. Something seems odd.

Did the people you know who got invites get them on Monday or sometime since then?

I also wonder if people are anxious about posting their invites due to some confidentiality request by the school.

There seems to be an indication that invites are being released geographically. If your friends are in Boston, NYC or DC, then that might explain it.

One is Boston, one is NY. I think in total I've seen 2 from Boston, 2 from NY, and 1 from DC. That includes both friends and posters (there is overlap).

Still 5 interviews is not many. I really think there will be many more northeast invites...am I crazy?
