Waitlisted!

For those who went through this process, what did you do if you have been admitted to other schools? You do need to give an answer to the other schools on their deadlines right? So confused right now. grrrr

Have to bite the bullet and submit a deposit. It sucks but it is likely the only way.

I had to submit a R1 deposit that I will have to walk away from. It sucks, but in the grand scheme of things it's a drop in the bucket to ensure your admission is hedged.

Out of curiosity, did any R2 admits receive fellowship information during their phone call or in the portal? In past rounds/years, it seems like some people found out when they got the call and others found out a few days later. I'm excited to have been admitted, but I want to make sure I have complete information before I make a decision.

Aah :) Thanks. I asked because someone on this thread speculated earlier that there were no R2 interviews in India.

Yeah I was curious about this myself. I didn't hear any admits in the chat or on the blog say they were notified of any scholarships, but in R1 they definitely found out over the phone. Considering how small R2 seemed to be, and how high everybody's stats were, it seems crazy to think that not one person was offered a scholarship.

They are undoubtedly peer schools. Both place very well in MBB and top tech firms. Sloan has a leg up for tech entrepreneurship, Kellogg has a leg up for Marketing/CPG. Both schools have a sense of shared success. Culture is a bit different though, as seen through their admissions process. MIT will be a bit more "nerdy", while Kellogg will be a bit more "fun". (I was trying to think of a better way to put that, but I couldn't come up with one). Sloan is notably harder to get into though, especially this year. Sloan is also more expensive and gives out less aid.
