Hey guys. Could you share your interview experience? I am interviewing next Tuesday. Any help will be much appreciated
Hi
I interviewed in R1. To prepare my interview, I read the interview reports on clearadmit's site (and MIT's interview guide of course). I have found these reports very helpful as all my 3 interview questions were already mentioned there.
The interviewer might ask some follow-up questions if your answer needs to be completed, or sometimes just to check whether your story is consistent.
I think it is important to describe how you think, what you felt/said, etc.. (like you probably did in your essays) ..and to show confidence + humility.
Try to prepare 2 or 3 "interesting" questions (that cannot be answered by doing a quick research on MIT sloan's website)
I would also say try to prepare stories that are not already covered in your essays, as your interviewer already knows them (my interviewer asked me explicitly to use other examples).
Last but not least, I (and most people I spoke to) have found the interviewer to be very nice and 'on my side' (not against me).. so I think it's important to relax and be "natural"...
good luck !!
