It seems like this year is the quietest of all past years for applicants to this program. Where is everyone? Did anyone submit for todays R1 deadline? Best of luck! I just sent in my application and now in the waiting window! I've seen some info about what an interview might look like but the source of information seems all over the board. What exactly is this Data Visualization topic that keeps being mentioned? The class was large last year, has anyone connected with current students to learn about the dynamic on campus? It seems interview calls may come as early as Oct 22? Excited for the opportunity to meet and hear everyone's story.

Probably a combination of self and company sponsored, hoping for a fellowship of some amount as well although that may be wishful thinking 😂. All I can find on the MIT site is that the fellowships are allocated on “merit”. Some specific fellowships have specific criteria (ie student of a certain country or with a certain career objective) but nothing more detailed than that.

It was written in application yhat Dean fellowship will be given to every admitted non-sponsored student. I am non-sponsored prospective student.

Are you sure? I thought (from memory) that it said that all non-sponsored students would automatically be *considered* for a fellowship. I don’t think there was any guarantee of success….

Does anybody know whether the program require WES evaluation for an international applicant? Thank you in advance

If it’s in relation to GPA comparison, they said no, definitely not. AdCom will do their own calculations to compare to the USA system as required. If in relation to something else like accrediting coursework or something, I don’t know, but I suspect not, unless you have a highly unusual case. Posted from my mobile device
