It's been 2 months since I applied. Although I applied in Round 2 (2nd week of Feb) and given the circumstances, when can I expect any sort of decision?

I have been waitlisted as per the application status but no interview calls or any other status communication from the institute.

Update from NUS

.

Postponement of The NUS MBA commencement to January 2021
In order to allow you sufficient time to make your arrangements with more certainty, and adjust your plans in the coming months, we have decided to move the start date of The NUS MBA to January 2021 for both full-time and part-time formats.
Extension of full-time and part-time application deadlines to 15 July 2020

In view of the challenges faced by many applicants during this time, we will continue to accept applications for both the full-time and part-time programmes until 15 July 2020. Your completed application and test scores will have to be submitted by then. Applications will continue to be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Should you decide that the new programme start date does not fit in with your plans, you could either:

a) Obtain a deferment by one year, for a place on intake 2021 scheduled to start in August 2021. There will be no refund of acceptance fees if payment has been made. If you have not paid your acceptance fees, you will be required to do so by the stipulated deadline in your offer letter, or
b) Withdraw your admissions into the programme: You will be refunded your acceptance fees if payment has been made. If you wish to be considered for admissions into the August 2021 intake at a later date, you will need to resubmit your application. Please note that prevailing fees for 2021 intake will apply.

Please inform us by 15 May 2020, on your decision to commence the programme in January 2021 by sending an email to the admissions team at [email protected].

We will also be hosting an online Q&A session to answer any questions that you may have on these latest programme updates, on Thursday 23 April, 3pm SGT. Please click here to register for the session.

Why was this email sent to waitlisted applicants? Isn't it a little misleading to ask candidates for a decision by May 15th, if they don't have a final decision from the school itself yet?

Same here; I am waitlisted, surprised to receive this. If they are giving admitted candidates time till the 15th of May to take a decision, I don't think waitlist decisions can be out before the final week of May.

Don’t know what to make of it. I’ve to send out other decisions by tonight and I was hoping I’d have some clarity on NUS by now.

Don't know what to make out of this. NUS may compare waitlisted candidates with the new applicants. Going by this logic, we may not receive decision by June or July.

Possible. I guess the Q&A session on the 23rd will answer some of our queries.

Hi guys,
I am the applicant who had PMed Chethan the email I received from the NUS MBA team yesterday, which he has added to his original post.
Unfortunately a portion of the e-mail didn't copy paste properly, so I have attached the actual e-mail received from the NUS MBA team here in this post.
I received this email on 15th April at around 12:30 AM EST. Also I have been waitlisted after interview, if that helps.
Most of the email contents can also be found on the NUS MBA site at https://mba.nus.edu.sg/en-SG/admissions/covid-19/, however I didn't see the table with the tentative program schedule on the NUS MBA website (which you can see in the email attachment).
Hope this clears the confusion.
Thanks,

Hello everyone - I have been invited to the Zoom interview (Submitted my app on Apr 1). A couple of questions
1. My app status still says Application Processing and the checklist items haven't been checked out yet except for the recommendations. Did this happen to any of you?
2. Also, how do we know if its a prelim or a final interview? The email mentions that I have been invited to the admissions selection interview. Not sure what to make out of this?

P.S. I too received the email about the program delay date to Jan a day before getting invited for the Zoom interview.

1. The checklist has to be manually updated. So it's fine if your checklist items are still crossed.

2. I dont know whether it's final or preliminary.
