Every time I see or hear "y'all" I tend to think about Cleveland from Family Guy for some reason... but josiebella sounds like a girl.

Being interviewed early means 1. application ended up on top of the pile 2. application ended up in the hands of more diligent adcoms. Adcom remembered a few details from my "essay 3." They probably found it interesting.

That's funny, I think exactly the same thing when I see y'all. In fact, I frequently use it in emails to friends for that reason, and I'm decidedly not a southerner!

I agree with your comments on early interviews.

Mad Men is supposed to be extremely good. I hear Breaking Bad is good, too. My favorite show of all time is The Wire.

i received an interview invite at 11:17am (est) today - with an option to attend the spotlight on stern women event consisting of an interview, round table discussions, a cocktail reception, a beer blast with current students, and then the annual stern women in business conference the following day. or i can schedule a regular interview...

the event isn't until february and it says there is no penalty for choosing either option. not sure what i am going to do yet but wanted to let everyone know.

female/nyc/710 gmat/3.5 gpa - i went to stern undergrad. not sure if that makes any difference.

i have the wire boxset but haven't opened it yet. i need to get back surgery in a few months and that'll put me out for 2 weeks or so, but i'm looking forward to it. (the wire, not the surgery obviously)

I wholeheartedly agree - the wire is one of the best shows ever, I borrowed it on dvd from a friend and watched the whole series (about 60 hours) in two months. Definitely time well spent when I should have been writing my Stern essays!
