Can I apply for the part-time program for fall if I get rejected for the full-time program. According to the website we can only apply to one program per semester. But really don't feel like wasting another semester. And I only want to go to Stern...haven't applied anywhere else.

I spent a lot of time at universal studios. Otherwise I did some putt putt and watched movies when the weather is bad. I need some sleep very bad. The Long Island Ice tea was quite strong.

Since the question requires you to introduce yourself to your classmates, i think it's entirely up to you how to portray yourself. is the professional side all you want to show? or would you rather display yourself in a metal t-shirt and torn jeans next to your motorcycle? i made a video and actually did both, since i want to connect with the class, rather than be seen as single-dimensional and business-like. sensible self-expression is the key...

Edit:-then again, i haven't received an interview invite so caveat emptor

during the interview, i asked about their favorite essay 3. i get the impression that the best thing is to create something that will really make you stand out. seems like they get a ton of similar vehicles like videos, quilts, collages... but it really is more about the content.

oh, and if you show that you really put some time and effort into it... i think that goes a long way as well.

just received my invitation to interview! soo relieved/excited. at work so i can't check to see what the availability is for time slots, but they offered me the choice to interview during diversity weekend in Feb or during the regular admissions schedule. i'll probably opt for sooner because i'm impatient.

25 y/o female in NYC. 4 years w/e in Finance, switching to Luxury Marketing/Strategy. 680 GMAT, 3.65 GPA from ivy undergrad (liberal arts major).

Personally, I don't know if that is worth mentioning.

I did email them. I added in a few important things i've been doing at work. At best it gives me an edge, at worst they see that I am trying to do my best to impress them.... which i am :lol:

Edit - Also, at least the CFA Institute makes a big deal of calling yourself a CFA candidate, or even associating yourself with the CFA designation if you are not registered. Your nick being bayareaCFA, i'm sure you did well in Ethics & Codes of Professional Conduct :wink:
