hello stern applicants. friends,i have a low gmat 560 but wish to retake by the end of feb. given that my essay 3 is not creative,just a text essay Should i postpone my application to apply for the march 15 deadline.???

not that i am an expert, but perhaps you should wait til after you retake the gmat because a 560 is kind of low for Stern...

Also as a non-expert, I would agree. I'm going to sound a little like an adcom here, but...the fact that you're questioning things at the moment is a good sign that you might want to wait. I think it's okay that the Essay 3 is not "creative," as you say. In the end, you just want to really express who you are - whether that's all text, or some kind of PowerPoint, I think it's the content that is important. My guess is that regardless of your retake score, you'll feel much more comfortable with your application in R3. If that's the case, I say wait.

This is a question for everyone out here....Does your check status page change before receiving an interview invite? Mine has not changed from the day I submitted my application in november. It is kind off scaring me. Please reply.

Mine did not change until I got the waitlist update. I'm thinking it's the same for interview invites.

When you receive an interview invite, the status does change. You also get an email. Before that it never changed. Hope it helps.

Is anyone else having trouble signing into the status page? It COULD be that I've been doing it relentlessly so they blocked me out, but was just curious
