I got waitlisted with the waiver and took a gmat and got a 660. Going to take another one to try to get a higher score but do you guys think I should at least send the 660 for now?
Don’t submit with 660. Average GMAT at NYU is 730. Better to keep the waiver till you get atleast 710+ in the next try.

If you have a waiver, and you send a score below the average of 730, you’re telling the adcom you’ll pull their average down. Not a good idea

You’ll be better placed to skip R2 Jan’24 deadline and aim for R1 Sep 24 deadline for Fall 2025 start. By then you will have 4 years experience, the sweet spot for most schools.

Why do you want to pivot

Multiple reasons. Interaction with people is quite low, it’s sort of a desk job where you get requirements and deliver. Pay is decent but I am not able to build my network much.
Also the kind of problems and development work I am doing has become sort of repetitive and niche. I feel I’ll function better in a dynamic environment where things are fast paced and I face new challenges.

I agree. You can also try building a little on the people management front or take up projects outside your role

Thanks for your respective inputs. Honestly I’ve been busy with CFA for the past 1 yr so couldn’t do much outside work. I wanted to do some volunteering work for WWF will plan to do that now. Apart from that any specific projects that you suggest?

From my perspective, you have a good profile. The downside is the lack of YOE at application (average is 4 - 5). If you can make the case in your essays then I think you have a good shot

As for the comments mentioned above, volunteer to be an intern coach or a project leader, or a mentor/coach to a junior consultant. Try and get some "people management" experience in some facet
