Oh crap! Crap! Crap! Crap! I just looked at my application again, and I noticed that I gave them my work phone number as my preferred (day time) number, but I took the day off today, and I've been waiting with my frigging cell phone!!! Argh!!!
Congrats to all the R2 admits! Can't wait to meet you all on the google group set up for the Class of 2012. If you check out the very long thread we have from R1, you'll find that the 3rd or 4th email in the chain has the link for the spreadsheet one of our classmates set up. It has lots of interesting information on who all wants roommates etc., in addition to standard biographical info.

We should add a "GMAT Club Alias" to the categories...

Can't you check your VM at work?
Congrats to all admits! What great news for you all.
Freaking out over here. Does anyone know the norm, does today really represent the bulk (or all) of the calls?
Prepare what you will say when you get the admit call. I did not see it coming and was over enthusiastic, I wonder what the adcom member on the other side thought., maybe oh my, we just admitted a crazy dude.
I've been trying, but it's not taking my password for some reason. Alas, it's not something I can call the IT folks about, either. Looks like I may have to drive in to work tonight.
For the admits, which number did they call you at? Your work number or your cell number? Which one did you have listed as your preferred number?

Certainly something you can ask the IT people. Just say you are expecting an important VM, which is true, yet vague.
It seems like they took 2 days to make all the calls in R1, right? And there are more admits in R2 than R1, so I would suspect it would take them at least 2 days to call everyone.
My last name is at the end of the alphabet, so I don't think it's alphabetic.
