WLers from R1 and R2 - Do we also get to know about our chances by 15th? Apparently, in Tuck, the yield was so high that Tuck emailed all the WLers saying that they will not be taking any WL now. I wonder what the scene is at Ross..and how many applicants are still in WL.

My understanding is that yield has been really high at Ross this year. I think Soojin mentioned/hinted in her most recent blog that the waitlist is going to be small this year, which I took to mean that there probably won't be too much movement.

I agree that the yield is high this year, but it was so high last year, that I believe they consciously kept the waitlist smaller than the previous year. Hopefully, unlike at Tuck, that means at least some of us on the WL have a fighting chance...

Some of my observations about Soojin's last blog entry:

1) She hinted that they sent out fewer admits for R1 and R2 but she also said that they did not offset the Waitlist by increasing the size. Infact, they let go of some ppl in last few weeks from the waitlist.
2) I noticed that some of the WLers were invited to interview in last few weeks so that may also mean that there will be few slots for WLers..

All the observations lead to many different speculations..i guess we just to be patient and see whats up.

Another negative about being on the waitlist: having to answer the question "so when do you hear back? have you heard anything yet?" over and over and over...

I feel like a politician that's being grilled. I've got my standard rote answer every time I get that question. :lol:

I did not get an e-mail. I just checked and the WL message was slightly changed to only reference decisons over the summer and not 'subsequent rounds and over the summer' as it said before.

yup..same thing happened....this just sucks...so they did not admit any WL's at the R3 deadline uh....
at this point they should know what the class looks like...i wonder if people not on this forum/bw have heard anything...

i applied R3 and haven't heard a thing. i'm assuming that = bad news when i log in to check my application status tomorrow morning at 9am pst. from what i've been reading about a ridiculously high yield for R1 & R2, i'm guessing they let in very few R3 people and none of them besides the one international candidate that posted above are on this forum. i'm very bummed as i would have submitted my deposit this weekend if i were admitted. sucks.

Same here.. I have a good application and had a great interview but R3 seems to be a lost cause. I thought they release decisions 12:01 AM which would be 9:00 PM for us in california.. isnt it?

This is from the email:

"This email is to notify you that the Ross School of Business will post your admissions decision for our Full-time MBA Program for the Fall 2010 admit term on Saturday, May 15, at 12:01 EST."

It doesn't really indicate am or pm but for some reason I was assuming it was noon EST. Now that you mention it, I will be checking tonight at 9pm pst! Most likely to be followed shortly thereafter by a tall glass of scotch. Thanks for the heads up.
