drmang7 is a consortium applicant which is a little different. They run on a different schedule.

Thanks! That lowered my blood pressure a little bit. Looks like someone from Toronto posted on BW forums that he/she also got an interview today. Not sure if that person's a Consortium applicant, though. What's this Consortium business, anyway?

I'm not an expert on consortium, but it is a group that looks to help under represented minorities within Business. for consortium, you have to fill out the consortium application and list your schools in order of priority. You have to interview with the consortium and for certain schools you have to interview with them also. One nice thing is that they usually offer big scholarships and another nice thing is that you don't have to fill out all the questions that you normally would for each school.

Yes, I am a R2 Consortium applicant. My application went complete Jan 5th.

it's a great program if you have any friends considering applying that have good community service. You don't have to be a minority, but you must identify with Consortium's mission of helping empower minorities through service.

Hi guys,

For non-Consortium applicants, what was the process for R1? Was there an email sent out to confirm that all components had been received/application complete, etc? Or is there no communication from the school until an interview invite is sent out?

Any R1 applicants able to shed some light, please?

Well...There are always mistakes in a last-minute app... But here are my thoughts:

- The product manager vs Project manager is just a typo...If you really think it makes a difference then send an updated version to the adcom.
- The TOEFL date is not a big deal, just give a call to let them know...
- The last but not the least: the recommendation! I think you have to make sure your recommender contact them to clarify the name typo. Don't get involved in this issue directly, you don't want them to think you prepared a template for you recommender (that you took on the net btw...)

My 2 cents....

Not sure whether you can send an updated version of your essay.If you get an interview invite,mention it during the interview subtly.For the recommendation,ask your recommender to send an updated version.

Thanks Class2012 and jag120. My recommender has sent an updated version to the adcom, but haven't gotten any reply yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed though. All the best to everybody for R2 !! :)

I just got an email that my application was received, pretty much right after submitting payment. Then no communication until the interview. The online status doesn't change either.

I just received an interview invite for R2! :-D I'm an international applicant (not via Consortium). They sure are fast!

But, I'm worried about something. My application status still says 'submitted.' Is this normal? Shouldn't it change to 'completed and under review' already?

Doesn't the Embark page display status?

Last week they sent an email to all the R1 applicants with the an unique ID and the link where you can check the results on the 15th Jan. If you are an R1 applicant you would have received it. If you are in R2 then dont bother.

Although, if you want to memorize the exact date and time that you submitted your Ross application, down to the second, or if you want a constant reminder of the $200 you shelled out, compulsively checking Embark will help.

Any more R2 interview invites? Haven't heard anything from non-Consortium US people yet. The wait is killing me! My guess is that they're probably busy deciding the fate of R1 people?
