Considering Ross is the only school I applied this year made me a lil nervous I have recovered altogether now. Thanks Ari for your help yesterday. I called up school this morning. It was some technical glitch.
Dont worry NkatRoss...try to convert this into an admit. There are many people on this forum who might be able to help you. I wish you all the best. Dont lose hope.
Advice - I submitted an older version of my cv to Ross and other schools. Is it ok if I call them and email a replacement or is it a no no. The changes are not big but there is huge quality difference. It's the like I reached version 10 and submitted the 6th ? Has anyone done that ? What was the advom response like ?
For those in round 1 - how did you guys manage the time till the mid- decision date. I can't even stay busy by changing full stops and commas in my essays. Da**
Hey i had an open question o the GMAt, Ive applied at Duke,Cornell,Ross ad Darden(all apps in R2) have a 690(48Q,36V) on my GMAT(gave it back i September 2007). Is it worth giving the GMAT again, especially now that ive already applied to these schools.
Ive been studying for the test for a week now averaging (670 on powerprep and Manhattan)
any ideas fellows.... any opinions... would be great to have inputs from all of you....

I can't speak for everyone else on these boards and I'm far from an expert on the subject, but I would say no. You're in those schools' ranges (very close to average in most cases) and you cleared 80th percentile in quant, which is a big marker of ability for these adcoms, apparently. Unless your tests are routinely coming in the high 700s, I'd say perhaps it could do more harm than good?
Would you consider re-applying next year if you didn't make a top school or are you set on going this year and this year only?

I cant say what you should do. But be aware that when they call you for interveiw they will ask you to email them your updated resume. So that would be an excellent chance to forward your most recent resume. Whether you should email them your resume now ...I am not sure. Maybe some other people could chime in.

I agree with what Ari123 had said. I also think that you shouldn't submit your revised resume right away. It will only tell the adcom that you were careless in putting together your app.
Ross allows you to update your resume after you get an interview invite, as people mentioned above. But for any other potential R2 applicants-I want to note that I supplemented my application almost right before they released decisions. I was taking math classes at UCLA that I declared on my original application and the grades came in after my interview had already been conducted. I called them up and they let me email in my first grade (that came out before the neverending UCLA furlough) and then re-supplement once my second grade came out and I was able to obtain a formal transcript. Again, the classes had already been declared on my original application-I uploaded the receipts for them on my R1 app.
They were really nice about it and I'm happy I took the chance to ask as I have a completely non-quantitative background with a 13 year gap in quantitative subjects.

I did send an updated resume for two reasons: I had taken up a consulting assignment that was not mentioned on the version submitted with the app and the new resume was 10 times better than the one submitted in terms of format, language etc
I mentioned both the reasons and that I felt my original resume did not do justice to my experience or my writing capabilities. Its a different thing that the primary purpose of the email was to thank the admissions director, who had responded to the follow up email that I had sent earlier post our meeting at an info session.
A change in profile would have been the ideal reason to send such a mail. Nevertheless, if you can position it properly then I do not see any harm in sending a request to replace the earlier version with the latest one in your file. Strictly my opinion..

My advice to you - send them your correct resume version. I was in a similar situation as yours and sent them the correct version around 15 days after submitting my app.
Is it just me, or are there a whole lot more accepted applicants this year than any of the previous years on GMATClub? Are the WL's and Dings just not reporting? Do they generally take a bit longer to update their status here? I know that a lot of people don't post unless they're accepted so this is sure to skew the data. Just curious.
