Count me in for R1. Just starting out on essays. Ross essays are a bit on the easier side compared to some of my other apps.

Count me in for Round 1!

This might be discussed elsewhere, but on essay word counts (especially with Ross's being so tight) what is everyone shooting for? Is there any wiggle room to go over?

Thanks.

I am guessing you don't need to get it down to a T. Maybe going over by 10 words is acceptable. Not sure though. Since i first drafted my Wharton/Haas essays, some of which are even shorter than Ross's, I found I could add a lot more valuable information on top of them for the Ross essays.

I just accidentally submitted my application. Thinking that it would probably be a multi-stage process and there would be a link to see a preview and print I hit the submit button. Instead I got the Success! your application has been submitted page. Trying to figure out what to do. I hadn't finished editing my essays yet.

I really like the whole action based learning approach at Ross + the MAP program. But, could a current student/Alumni of Ross tell me how good it is in the area of entrepreneurship?

what a bummer! I'd contact the admission committee and explain what had happened... hope it works out okay!

I was in the final stages of editing. I'm going to look over it this weekend and see if I should leave it as is or contact admissions.

LOL. I'm sorry for your misfortune, but that's a pretty entertaining/terrible story.

just call the school, They might be able to open your application up. If you are ahead of the deadline, it shouldn't matter.

Hi all,

I can locate two application platforms on Ross's website.

At link https://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/ApplyNow.htm
1. You can find "Apply through the Consortium".
2. But if you click "Application" instead, you will find "Online Application to the Ross School of Business".

Are they the same?

I have filled in most of the details using platform 2 yet my recommenders said they could not receive the invitation from the system. I'm wondering...

Thanks!

I just talked to a Ross adcom at the MBA tour she definitely said a one page resume is best.

I haven't even looked at my resume for Ross yet :? There's definitely plenty that I have to change in order to fit all the things one 1-page.

How much are space is everyone spending on your background in Essay #2? It doesn't specifically ask about how your experiences shaped your goals at all.

I think it is best to apply through the University platform. Consortium asks you for 2 more essays...
