Any Idea how much loan can an international candidate receive without a cosigner. Will it cover total cost of attendence 70,000 USD or just tuition & Academic fees

I can't answer your question directly. But FWIW, when I was an undergrad, I was an international student, and the US government will not lend me a cent (why should they? I couldn't vote, and in a democracy I don't have a voice). I got into Stanford and Brown, but couldn't go b/c there was no way my family could pay the tuition without any help. Ended up going to a public school on a merit scholarship. I doubt the student loan situation is better now than 10 years ago.

Thanks Visor,

But under grad and MBA is different. I am sure that there is a loan program for international without a cosigner but I am not sure how much it covers.

Congrats... I am an R2 applicant. Typically how long after the application deadline does Ross begin sending interview invites?
it happens in waves of applicants getting the invite....keep a track on Soojin's blog for regular updates as to when they will send out these invites....

The plan is to start them early next week. (I can't promise whether "early" means Monday or Tuesday). But the calls will continue through the week, with the goal of reaching all admits by January 14 when decisions will be accessible online for all applicants.

As I tell anxious applicants every year, the calls are made in no particular order and we don't have set times when we make the calls. Just try to be patient. (I know that's not easy!) We'll try to reach you as soon as we can.

From Soojins blog... You maybe right 300 does sound accurate considering 70% yield and class size of 500. So if they do 100 per day it seems right no? I have a feeling they will release the website decisions a few hours to one day early. Calls will be made Tues-Thurs maybe till afternoon? Just a guess but im going stir crazy.
i think its gonna be lesser than 300 for R1....R2 is when most applicants are selected...R1 has lesser applicants applying and so lesser calls...so i would keep r1 admits to roughly 200....

To date, Ross has provided loans to all international students. Here are the (broad) terms:
- no cosigner
- up to full tuition + living expenses
- interest rates vary YoY, but has historically been competitive with the rates domestic students pay on their loans

Yes, I am an international student.

Thanks KingK,

It is a big relief to know that loan can cover full attendence. BTW you are from which country ?

No

if you submitted on 11th or 12th Oct and havent got an invite yet, then (assuming yr application is considered for R1) you are most likely about to be on the waitlist or get a ding....its kinda late to worry about the submission date coz rite now we're looking at the decision deadline...if you were worried about this point, you should have contacted the adcom earlier and confirmed whether yr application will be considered for R1 or for R2....

Thanks for the quick response, but this date is shown only on my friend account which was created last week, before that there was no such update if you remember. I shall wait for the confirmation from adcom rather.

It's a kinda strange approach, - to apply to b-school without knowing whether you'll be able to cover your tuition costs. :) Anyway, yes, Ross is in relatively small group of elite US-based b-schools that provides loans covering total attendance costs to intl students. That's one of the factors (I believe) that allow Ross for higher and higher positions in ratings. :)
