Hi. One of the comments in Soojin's blog regarding round 2 interview invites says that the first batch has been sent on Jan 17 and the second would be sent somewhere in early Feb.

Guess all of us who haven't got an invite should relax till then :-D

The first round of candidates have been asked to conclude their interviews by Feb 5th, so I am guessing that they are just trying to manage the workloads for the interviewers. No reason to stress out.

Haha, it doesn't take a "reason" to make me stress out. :wink:

However, Ross was a pretty big reach for me so I wouldn't be surprised if an invitation to interview didn't come. But I was looking forward to the opportunity to wow someone as I tend to perform very well in interviews.

Reading Soojin's blog from January 2010, it seems that for R2 they send i/v calls every week till mid Feb... that may give some reassurance to many of us

Why do you think Ross is a big reach for you? You're well above the median GMAT and your GPA is in line with the average as well.

Although my GMAT is strong and my GPA isn't detrimental, my WE is on the low side, and I've got a failed venture into law school (just a poor choice to attend and resulting poor grades) that breaks up my WE almost right down the middle. So, given the quality of the applicant pool I suspect that someone with my "limited" work experience and grad school background would present an unnecesary risk.

I called the admission office around 4.30pm EST to ask about the 2nd batch of interview invites. Rep at the office said no invites had been sent out today. Odd!

Just heard back from the admissions team. All interview invites for R-2 Wave-1 were sent out yesterday. It looks like there was a communication gap, and the person at the front desk was not informed. They apologize for the confusion. I know you guys probably did this already, but just in case - check your junk mail folders. The next set of interview invites that will go out will be the second wave. Hope that clarifies things.

Matt from Ross Adcom quotes this..

The first wave of interview invitations went out today (January 17th) as previously announced, and the second wave will go out in early February. We consider a variety of factors in our interview selection process. Date of application submission is not one of them. Also, no conclusions should really be drawn from whether someone is invited to interview in the first wave versus the second wave. Best wishes for the rest of the process!

Are these interview invitations visible only via email or are they displayed on the website too? If on the website, where exactly?

Unless they changed the process from R1, you'll receive an e-mail with the invitation and an external link that you use to schedule your interview. From here on out the you'll be communicating with admission and getting updates via e-mail. The status page on your original application shouldn't change and won't provide any additional information. Hope this helps!

My friend is attending the Saturday program (he said it was some Women in Business event) but this was the link he sent me

Yea - I'm planning on going to the Saturday event. Seemed like a good chance to meet more Ross folks rather than just popping in for one of the "regular" interview slots.

I received the interview invite yesterday...really hoping for good things with Ross!
Unfortunately though, can't possibly go for an on-campus interview...would've loved to...
