if u applied on jan 14, then u're an r2 candidate...the status check email will come later on - a few days before the final decision deadline....till then u can only wait for an interview invite...thts it... ps - all applicants whether invited for interview or not would get the wolverine access email to check the application status...but tht would be toward the end when yr decision deadline is approaching... all the best u all..!!

yup, even i have the impression tht ann arbor is a better place to live in than durham....i havent travelled to these locations, but i feel this based on the user opinions, etc...

Hmm, these comparisons are very subjective. If you get in, travel to both campuses if possible and then decide where you fit better and can imagine spending 2 years of your life. One big difference between living in Ann Arbor and Durham: you need a car in Durham whereas it's not required in Ann Arbor.
