actually both offer very similar opportunities in terms of career goals...both are strong at MC and VC profiles..also everything else in terms of the course quality is comparable....!! i couldnt find anything that separates the 2..even the rankings are very similar....duke has the edge on paper...but ross has a bigger brand, bigger university and a better city...tough tough choice...im waiting until r2 results..if i dont get a final deicsion till that, ill enroll at ross for sure..

"ross has a bigger brand, bigger university and a better city" -- I think these are strong reasons why you shud choose ross over duke.. esp given tht u feel everything else is almost same.. maybe get in touch with your interviewers.. they will be more than willing to help you out I suppose..

well, i think my predicament is mainly due to the fact tht i have a WL at duke...if i had a final decision, then i would have gone with one or the other by now...but the WL is making me hang on..!! plus, ross deposit is due in may..so i have enuff time...!!

If you get an admit at Duke, would you choose Duke over Ross?

If no, then just go ahead with Ross now itself.
If yes, you should wait. But I doubt Duke will offer scholarships to someone on a WL...so scholarship shouldn't be a factor.

well, good point actually....well, im attending the GBR in april in any case...so in a way im choosing ross already coz for me just going to the US for an admit weekend is a big financial committment too..!!

12 more hours for last batch of interview invites. :anxious:

I probably will not receive invite, I have screwed my first Essay (introduction in 100 words), but still hoping for a miracle.

Yes, there were quite a few. I am one of them. There were a few who were waitlisted, after an interview too. But who knows you might receive one today..

if you're invited to interview, you'll receive an email from them with instructions on how to preceed with the scheduling process. the scheduling will be through another website which is different from the one you used to submit yr app.

They might have sent you a link for wolverine access for opening a friend account.. you would need to login to that and go to new & prospective student center. You can check your application status there..

I don't have interview invite yet. I just received one mail from Ross on 14th Jan. that my application is complete. It does not have any such link in it. Do all applicants get this link / is it just for people who get interview invite?

Same for me. International applicant and Ross is the only school in the US I've applied to. With that said its still one of my top two choices so I'd be elated to get the opportunity to interview. Still waiting at this point though

Both Michigan and Duke are not in the most liveliest areas of the country, but Michigan is a massive Big 10 school, so it'll be more livelier in comparison. I've always been under the impression that Michigan has much deeper alumni. Working in NYC, I've met quite a few Michigan alums in banking and hedge funds, very rarely Duke. And Duke has the most hated team in college basketball, but that's probably more of a concern for the undergrads :).
