It's ok to be skeptical; that's how I felt this afternoon. I was really upset on my way back home and ended up buying some junk food during my diet. I didn't believe those three people were lying (it would be such an awful thing for people to do so when knowing that everyone is anxiously waiting during such an important time in their life).

But of course! I never thought for a second that you or the other people were lying - especially when I can now access the same announcement myself - and even much, much BETTER one!!!!
im shocked and highly skeptical that the adcom will use such vague words to describe a financial reward.!! huge scholarship is totally unprofessional...

i hope for umich's sake that this post that you made is a hoax coz so far i felt that whatever ross does is very very professional..!!

Yeltsina, agordan and others who received the admit decisions Congrats....
I think because if the sheer volume and the MAP schedule, Ross has opted to communicate through the status change.. Though I thought that the admits would atleast receive an email if not a call... But there must be some unknown constraints that led to Ross communicating the good news this way
Neeraj-
what are your thoughts on this as a Rd 1 admit? When will the calls start and will there not be any calls at all or will it be a mix? Did you find this strange? :) I have to be patient and optimistic about the decision process for now.. But it's surely going to be a distraction this week:)

im really stumped.!! i really didnt think it would come out this way...maybe kingkreep can take up this issue with the adcom and shed some light as to why this happened...

i guess you would be better off looking at last year's thread and if this is what happened for r2...for r1, the system was consistent with the previous years...calls/emails a few days before and then the final decision...but for r2 maybe even in previous years, this has been the method of communicating....

No, I meant that I got an email with the link to my application status just like other people reported here. I clicked View Decision link and saw my admit decision.

Yeltsina did seem pretty sure that the first 3 or so people to say they got in were BSing....which made me feel a little better since he/she seemed so sure. What do you say now Yeltsina? Maybe Yeltsina is behind all of this and his master planning is coming to fruition nicely.

I wonder if Soojin will address all of this in a blog tomorrow...I have to assume some overly obsessive applicants sent out some emails to Ross about all this.

guys, as odd as it may sound, when I re-logged in, the "view decision" link doesn't exist anymore (I was an "admitted" student few hours ago). Could any admits check their link again? Now this really seems to be some sort of glitch to me...
