I am grateful for this Ross debacle. I almost forgot to login to my Haas account and collect my ding. I really wasn't that stoked on their school anyway, not a good fit but I felt I should apply for a few reasons.

Hi Becky,

If you don't mind, could I ask your profile? I am still trying to rationalize this whole system glitch thing and am hoping that none of us who received the "admission letter" will get a ding on 3/8.... (that would truly be my nightmare) Here's my stats: GMAT 700+ / interview with Ross / WE 5 yrs

All the best.

Now you might see why I am not considering myself an admit until I get a fat packet and a call...

I have a balanced 670 gmat, gpa 3.0 (OUCH!) from a good school in economics,4 years increasing responsibility in marketing at a fortune 50 company and then another 1.5 years doing commodity negotiations for the same company. The interesting parts of my profile consist of being a former professional race car driver and I run my own non-profit which has made a pretty good impact in my local community and involves managing over 50 volunteers.

So you see, I am very average by the numbers and arguably everyone has a neat background. I do think that my essays were very good and my interview at Ross went pretty well.I was able to really get her interested in what I have been doing and in a round-about way show how much I fit with the school. It was not at all a question and answer style interview. My Tauber interview was not as stellar since I was at work and very distracted by the day's events, but Diane at Tauber had no other open spots.

You are definitely one of those very unique candidates I've heard of, and whom I'd love to be classmate with and learn from!! I truly hope Michigan won't become like Kellogg (sending out acceptance letter to 50 people who were rejected at the end)...

Well thank you for saying. I certainly have a lot of experience from what I mentioned and beyond that, but sometimes it feels like a numbers game and my numbers are not great. I apologize that my experience could not give a definitive answer that the glitchsters are all sure shot admits. I am of course feeling optimistic. I wish you all the best of luck and it has been great these last few days commiserating together.

Forget about the numbers, beck. The whole process is much more than that (not that I know how it works...lol)

Wow, it's like noon at a clocktower in there. Brings you back to reality for sure

It's a bloodbath! :boom

Ross, please be gentle with us... :butt

Although Haas has been slowly admitting people over several weeks, so not a shock that most just posting their decision today would be dings.

You are so calm. You are already admitted at Duke. I envy you.

No, because now I am talking to you Grumpy Bear. Dang. Lighten up. We are all stressed and in the same boat. It helps to talk to people who understand the neurotic beast known as the b-school applicant. I'll stop posting now til I post that I got my call and asking where to buy a giant parka.

I think the only way that happens is if the Adcom is known to make these calls over the weekend. I doubt they'd divide the calls between Fri and Mon.

Although Ross made their R1 admit calls over multiple days, they could probably make them all in one day if they needed to. I'm not sure how people work in the admissions office at Ross, but Booth makes all of their admit calls in one day.

Yeah, I think it's generally been a two day undertaking.

They could if they used an automated message machine.

Based on the admit events that's scheduled, it seems like they split admissions regionally with 3 folks. I'll guess anywhere from 75-100 calls for each of them, doing it in 2 days seem pretty reasonable if that's all they do for those days.
