Not admitted (though I didn't even get an interview).

Looks like I'll be finishing up this CFA after all

Good luck to all those who were admitted. Don't be d-bags and decline to buy 2011 Season Football tickets.

Hey georgan
what makes you believe u r not admitted. does it say online?? I am in the same boat ..no interview but my status update does'nt show anything. so just curious

Hi guys, Got the admit offer....
Based in India....got the email around 3:53 am (timestamp).
Good luck to all waiting.
Does anybody know the google group for admits?

The link for the Google Group is here from a search: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgr ... 2013-class

However, it is invite only. I bet the group invites will come in from tomorrow onwards.

You have to click the group and request a join to join. Then they match you with the admitted list and bingo. As for Tauber in my call while I was saying thank you she stopped me to say she had more good news that I also got Tauber. Minor miracle since I felt that interview didn't go that well.

anonymba-

Just one of those feelings. I wasn't the kind of stellar candidate that was "admit ASAP", so no reason I'm special and wasn't interviewed.

Anyways, I live in Ann Arbor and - truth be told - I probably sit next to Ross students at the various campus libraries while I spend 3 hours daily studying for this L2 exam in June. No big deal...I'm not doing it to break into the business - I've been in banking for 10 years.

Yikes.. So, this marks the end of my long journey. One that began with my GMAT prep back in Feb 2009 and has finally ended with an admit at Ross in Mar 2011. As with any good story, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The HBS and Stern curve balls stuck me out. However, I did not strike out the third time. But, neither did I smash a home run. With a WL notification, I was made to run bases and bat my innings carefully. After receiving an invite for interview I made it closer to victory. And today, well, I received an email stating that I have won the game even though I did not hit the home run.

Congrats to those who did make it and commiserations to those who did not.

Stats:
GMAT: 750
WE: 5 years - Mgt Consulting, Investment Banking
Applied: R1 Oct 14, 2010; WL: Jan 14, 2011; Invite to Interview: Jan 17, 2011; Interviewed (off campus with alum): Jan 28, 2011; Admitted: Mar 8, 2011 (and matriculating)

Q to all of the knowledgeable members of this forum (specifically for Indians):
What can I expect next? Any financial aid info? How to go about arranging for student loans etc? Any meet/catch-ups? I'm at London currently and will gladly join any London meets as well.

Finally: a note to all GMATClubbers - I've read tons of posts and posted few. Enjoyed reading them. Thank you all.

great post ashwin..!! congrats on making it to ross.!! i would say that its worth all the effort u put in..!!

anyways, on yr questions - the details of yr fin aid will be there in the admission binder that you recieve within the next few weeks. you can contact admissions directly too to find out more details (in case you cant wait for it)....abt student loans, the UMCU non-cosignor loan for internationals is now open for application. you can get more info on that in the fin aid sections....also, be sure to join the google/ facebook, linkedin communities for admitted students. the google group is by invite only, but the other are open groups....we chat a lot on these groups about a lot of things from mtrek, housing, loans, etc etc....!!

about meet ups, there have been quite a few in the US. i cant say that abt india....we've been trying to organize something for a while now, but nothing constructive has come up...again, through the groups, you can get more info on that...

feel free to ask any questions that you may have and welcome to the community..!!

It's starting to look a little bleak as of now. I am based out of the middle east but originally from asia and havent heard from the school (1st glitch: no, 2nd glitch: yes). I went to sleep thinking that it would be unlikely to get a call the first day due to time zone differences but having seen reports of emails sent by the adcom at day end, I am quickly losing hope.

What's strange is that I have only seen international admits from India & Brazil (pls correct me if I am wrong) and I'd be very surprised if there werent any more acceptances from other places. What do you guys think? I am sure international calls will continue today but "how many calls" do you supposed are still left? 10%, 5%?
