Yikes.. So, this marks the end of my long journey. One that began with my GMAT prep back in Feb 2009 and has finally ended with an admit at Ross in Mar 2011. As with any good story, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The HBS and Stern curve balls stuck me out. However, I did not strike out the third time. But, neither did I smash a home run. With a WL notification, I was made to run bases and bat my innings carefully. After receiving an invite for interview I made it closer to victory. And today, well, I received an email stating that I have won the game even though I did not hit the home run.
Congrats to those who did make it and commiserations to those who did not.
Stats:
GMAT: 750
WE: 5 years - Mgt Consulting, Investment Banking

Q to all of the knowledgeable members of this forum (specifically for Indians):
What can I expect next? Any financial aid info? How to go about arranging for student loans etc? Any meet/catch-ups? I'm at London currently and will gladly join any London meets as well.
Finally: a note to all GMATClubbers - I've read tons of posts and posted few. Enjoyed reading them. Thank you all.
great post ashwin..!! congrats on making it to ross.!! i would say that its worth all the effort u put in..!!
anyways, on yr questions - the details of yr fin aid will be there in the admission binder that you recieve within the next few weeks. you can contact admissions directly too to find out more details (in case you cant wait for it)....abt student loans, the UMCU non-cosignor loan for internationals is now open for application. you can get more info on that in the fin aid sections....also, be sure to join the google/ facebook, linkedin communities for admitted students. the google group is by invite only, but the other are open groups....we chat a lot on these groups about a lot of things from mtrek, housing, loans, etc etc....!!
about meet ups, there have been quite a few in the US. i cant say that abt india....we've been trying to organize something for a while now, but nothing constructive has come up...again, through the groups, you can get more info on that...
feel free to ask any questions that you may have and welcome to the community..!!
Hey vyomneeraj, what is the google group that is not from Ross? I think joining the Facebook group would raise all kinds of flags as I have some work buddies as friends. Since we will get invited to join the official google group today, do you think the unofficial one would survive?
