Can anyone give more detail as to how to schedule the off-campus interview? I don't want to click on a date in the calendar and be automatically signed-up... Do they give you a choice of times to choose from or do you have to coordinate that with the alumni interviewer?

Thanks!
i think on the very first screen you have 3 URLs- Load resume, schedule interview, and some help link

Click on Schedule interview.

Then a drop down box will show up that lets you choose
1. On Campus
2. Off campus
3. Phone
4.Skype

If you choose off Campus then you have to pick from a list of available cities....

(I chose on campus eventually, I'm pretty sure this is what shows up...) Either way, even if you click on a date, you have one more screen to choose the time.

Also I read a note on the first page that said that you needed to load your resume first.
HTH, sorry but that's all I remember.

Congratulations to everyone invited to Ross. I just had my first interview last Friday and it was at Ross. The school is beautiful and the weather was really mild, around 40 F. I stayed at the Ann Arbor Regent, a decent place for a decent price. The Moroccan restaurant across the street from the hotel was really good.
I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled time and waited until I got called in. I was interviewed by a 2nd year student with a consulting background. The questions were standard, run me through your resume, why Ross, Why an MBA now, a difficult team environment and how I dealt with it, what were my career interests, and which one was the last book I read.
The key is to try to make the interview into a formal but a relaxed conversation. The difficult questions come from the follow up questions by the interviewer. Pay attention to the question and prepare a strong rebuttal. The follow up questions were challenging, be ready.
The most surprising thing was that after my 45 minute interview, my interviewer walked out and sat at the lobby with me to chat for another 60 minutes. I thought it was great that he wanted to continue chatting and I saw it as a positive sign. After that, I got together with first year student and he gave me a tour of the campus. We had lunch together in downtown Ann Arbor. I loved the school and I hope I can get the call.

Hey All,

Had my Ross interview on Saturday morning in San Francisco with a recent alum. I was part of the 1st wave.

It was at a coffee shop and very informal/relaxed. The alum graduated from UC Berkeley (as did I), so there was nice little connection.

Questions:
- Walk me through your resume
- Why MBA / Why Ross
- Tell me about tough team experience
- 10 years from now, how do you want your colleagues to remember you
- How will you contribute to the Ross community
- If you could travel to any country what would it be and why

30+ minutes for interview, plus my questions.

So glad to be done (4th interview in 2 weeks). Now it's on to the nail biting...

Good luck to everyone!

Is there any way to check my app status?

I'm an International R2 applicant from South America and got interviewed on Jan 26 with an alumnus from my own country, The interview was very dinamic and out of structure. I really enjoyed it but I finished very tired due to the 2 hour talk, maybe because it was a colloquial interview so we had much to speak about.

Good luck to everyone!

ut of structure. I really enjoyed it but it was kind of tiring due to the 2 hours long it took.

Hi,

According to the admission blog, there should have been three waves of interview invitations…One in January, one in Feb 3, and the last one on this Friday February the 10th…

As an applicant who has not had any invitation yet, I have a difficult question, difficult at least for me :( :

If I were not able to get an invitation tomorrow, would that mean I lost my chance for Ross?

Hi Guys!

Just a quick question. Not sure if it has been asked previously in this forum but plz can someone tell me what % of applicants does Ross usually interview and how many of those interviewed then get accepted?

I am looking for this data for international applicants.

Thanks,
Ash

Hey Guys,

Had my Skype interview with a second year student last night. Im based out of London and Ross did not have an alum available to do a face to face interview. Was invited for interview in Wave 1.

It was pretty standard

5 mins introductions
30 min interview – Standard Questions asked

Walk me through your resume/Why MBA/Why Ross/Leadership and teamwork experience/How would i define success in 10 years time/What all activities I plan to purse at Ross

No cross questioning, there were nods and Acknowledgements thrown in here and there.........

I was prepared for the questions so i think it went well but yeah i wish it could be a little more interactive.....

No pressure at all, now I guess gotta wait 5 weeks to hear back. I love the school hopefully I will make it!

Anyone with any comments or past knowledge of how the results have turned out for applicants with the interview experience as mine was.

@GS18 -

Do you know if they had seen your file before the interview i.e. was it a blind interview?

I think that there would still be a shot at the waitlist. Some people were waitlisted without interview in R1, I think, and maybe the same could happen in this round.

Soojin's interview with P&Q indicates that 40-50% are invited to interview, and that around 70% of those get offers. Not sure how those numbers apply to international applicants specifically.

I'm pretty sure that the interviews are blind (resume aside).

The interview is blind. You are asked to re-upload your resume when scheduling your interview. That is all the interviewer has access to.
