Hi! I actually did face something similar. My punctuations were all jumbled up when I inserted the text in the provided box. So I created a pdf of the exact same essay, and sent to it to my adcom rep clarifying that in case he sees similar inaccuracies on his screen, he can refer this pdf. I advise you do the same if you know who your adcom rep is, or else directly mail the common email address. The impact of the essay may be compromised without a clear format. All the best!

Well, I only knew who mine was because I reached out for the Pre-App Meeting. So he responded and we had the call. I don’t think there is any other way of knowing.

Hello Sanjana09 tyildirim92 and others

Quick question - While reviewing my essay response after submitting my application, I saw something unusual.

The response I entered had well spaced out paragraphs. But while reviewing my response on the portal, I noticed that the spaced out paragraphs didn’t exist anymore. I really hope this is a bug with the portal and that the person reviewing my essay won’t see my essay in this format, as this would be really hard to read. Can you please confirm if you faced a similar issue as well?

I have not attached a screenshot as that would make my essay response public, which is obviously not advisable. Happy to share the screenshot over DM in case any of you have experienced something similar. Kindly respond. Thanks!

The application portal is a little bit bizzare. The same thing happened to me last year. When I spoke with my ad com member, she said everything seems to be clear and organized. So, don’t worry about it.

Rotman will reach out to your referees with a link. I don’t think your referees won’t have to upload any document or make any account on school’s system, if that is your concern.

Does anyone familiar with the format of Rotman’s professional references?

I know that Rotman asks us to fill-in the referees’ contacts. Will the referees write and submit the LoR to the School’s system or will the referees need to answer the questionaire survey from the School?

constantbottler, I think you should drop a mail and check with them. There seem to be quite a few bugs with the portal this year.

Don’t take longer that a week for Kira assessment after the submission of your application. So if the deadline is 4th of Oct. Try to submit it before 10th of Oct. Good luck!

Hi Everyone!

I have seen this question asked before but did not get any concrete answer.
Do we have to send the video assessments before the deadline itself i.e. 4th Oct ? That would mean that we have to submit our main application by 2nd or 3rd Oct to get the video assessments on email and have a day or 2 to submit them!

I have emailed the admission cell about this but haven’t heard any response.

If you lost your connection, I am sure it will show as a drop off at their end. So don’t worry. Just let them know via an email and they will let you have another shot at it. Good luck!

If you have already saved it once. Don’t worry it stays saved despite not showing at our end. That’s some voodoo that Rotman system does. But to be on a safer side it is alwys wise to give them in writing the issues that you can seeing at your end. If you have not saved them earlier, reaching out to them is the only option.

Did you enter the details of your referees ? It won’t let you move forward unless the asterisked boxes are filled. If you are not sure yet, just fill in placeholder words (Dangerous to do so. I don’t recommend. Lest you forget before submission)
