bachng, Cool! Then you should not get your recommendation from a junior. Ideally it should be from a person who had direct involvement in managing you. Someone who could talk about your strengths as well as weaknesses from an unbiased position. Junior wouldn’t be the best person for that.

bachng, Do you have someone else who had supervised you in the past at some point of time, who support your career goals and can speak of your accomplishments?

bachng, Your colleague might have worked with you but he wouldn’t be able to judge you on the metrics the company required you to be. Go for a colleague only when you have exhausted all other possible people such as former managers, clients

I do have supervisers in two companies in my past jobs

wondering if 2 supervisors reference is most ideal in my case

or should diversify - 1 supervisor 1 (someone esle)

I received my admission offer last night.

I would like to share my application timeline and some advice with you.
Timeline
Sep 1 - submitted application
Sep 3 - referee submitted reference form
Sep 4 - completed video essay and written essay (note: I had a technical issue in one of the video questions; I contacted AdCom and resubmitted my answer to that question on Sep 8)
Sep 10 - invited to interview
Sep 21 - completed interview via Zoom
Oct 1 - received the admission offer (note: I saw my application status changed to "decision made" on Sep 30)

Advice
1. Participate in information sessions and coffee chats with AdCom. You will get the contact information of the AdCom who is going to review your application and handle any issues that occur during your application process.
2. Connect to current students or alumni, especially those who have similar career goals to you.
3. Schedule a pre-application meeting with the AdCom to discuss your profile.
4. Prepare some good questions that show your interest in the program and how it connect to your future goal.

Don't worry about it, it's an internal info among Rotman admission members.

Video assessment is a separate system. You will receive a link to complete it, once you are done, you will have a confirmation email.

3) I am pretty sure I had uploaded my transcript. Not sure why it says incomplete.

You uploaded your unofficial transcript. Once you are admitted, you will be asked to send your official transcript.

Appreciate the prompt response.

Ah! Got it. One small issue - I uploaded my unofficial transcript again since it said incomplete, and now I see the status as 'Complete - Unreviewed' for the Official Transcript line item as well. Hope that wouldn't be a problem? They'll maybe ask me to upload/send it again?

PS - They shouldn't expose information meant for internal communication to students. But what can one do haha

Hi tyildirim92, thanks for all the feedback you've been sharing on this thread

Quick question for you -- I see Rotman got rid of the optional essay. While I have a 4.0 in my final year, my overall cGPA for UG is <3.0. Do you think I should allot some space to explain this on my spike factor essay? I don't really see it adding as much value as the other content I have in the essay... but would it be a red flag if I chose not to address it?

Hey! I have a question regarding the essay. I have used 3 different stories in my essay, however only have pictures against the 2 stories. Would that make a difference or would you suggest to put pictures for all the three stories?
