Would love to know everyone's take on this?
Honestly, this is up to you and the circumstances surrounding your situation.
For students from some particular countries, funding is more important than other factors because you need as little deficit as possible to improve your chances at the embassy. For some it’s not even about the embassy, it’s if they would be able to afford to pay back their educational loans (and how long it would take them to).
Also, if you plan to remain in the US, the ranking of the school and employment rates for international students from the school is very important to consider. Some schools might tell you that 80% of their students get jobs within the first 3 months after school. Some can say 95%. This can aid your decision making.
Also the structure of the course. Simon is very quant-focused, if you are not so strong in the analytics, you might want to consider schools that have lesser focus on analytics and data.
Another thing I look at is the strength of their career centre. How invested are they in the students? How much partnership do they have with top organizations, mentorship opportunities etc.
For schools where internship is compulsory, how easy would it be for you to get internship opportunities?
ROI too. After school, how much are you likely to earn? Is it a great ROI considering how much time and money you spent? Schools usually publish information like this.
Location might be it for you. What is the goal for you? Are there opportunities to achieve your goals in that location?
In summary, the decision is personal. What is more important to you is based on certain conditions?
