I applied R1 for anyone keeping a list. Got an interview last year, but got denied. Hoping re-applicants are looked at fairly and that assuming I get an interview this year, I perform much better. It was my first and I had no connection with the interviewer.

How's the stanford lottery going this year? I am not applying but figured how things were going in here. Do we have anyone with a "stanford" profile this year? (i.e. terry12 )

we've got 22 R1 applicants so far, so we'll see!
anyone have a guess based on last year how quickly they send out interview invites?
Good luck everyone! Just remember, the timing of an interview invitation has NO correlation with likelihood of acceptance... invites really are sent out as the applications are read, and the order of reading is a random process. I know plenty of people here (myself included) who received invites between mid-December and mid-January.
