@tempoguy,

I have also re-read my app several times...maybe there is something they look for which we don't have :D Are you also from Delhi btw?

@chits,

Just saw your profile...I would expect you to get an invite, but don't know

One common thread between you, me and @tempoguy is the entrepreneurial background. But shouldn't that be appreciated? Or maybe Stanford didn't find it impressive enough.

Dear Stanford,

Make it stop. It's extra hard cause i live in Silicon Valley and commute past S all the time. Seriously, just ding me and put me out of my freakin misery already...

Regards,

Janky

@jankynoname

maybe next time when you are passing by...go inside...straight to Derrick Bolton..look into his eyes...and ask him "Tell me honestly, do you love me?" If he says "Yes", then you ask him "Then why don't you ever call" :D

:D Just kidding, but would be so cool if you do it.

Nice to see two fellow Daiictians here :)
Well I believe both of you have really great profiles and really cool startups :)..I don't think you guys should lose hope until Nov last week atleast..the fact that you are Reliance fellows shows that your profiles are much better than most of the other Indian applicants..
And as for me..I had stopped thinking about GSB long back and have been concentrating on my other apps..

PS: About Me: ..standard IT exp..rest is just about decent..

If you really want to keep up your hope, I might point out that crapface is not a reliance fellowship finalist. However i wouldn't read much into it.

As per the adcom, the interview can come anytime till mid december...And in the past also people have known to have received interview invites even a few days before the notification date...but such numbers were in a small minority..
Since they give about 10 days to schedule your interview, it is reasonable that very few people will get invites post say 4th or 5th december since 16th is the notification date and the adcom also needs some time to finally judge the candidate and take the decision...
So I believe apart from a few exceptions almost all the interview invites will be sent by 7th - 8th december or so..
And since a decently big wave did come out in last 1 week or so, it is quite possible this week will also show a large number of people getting invites..
I think the whole invite thing will be more like a bell shaped curve with its maxima in these two weeks and tapering off curves starting december 1st week and in the period before 1st week of November..
Let us see..

Don't want to get everyone's hopes down but this is Thanksgiving week here in the US and the working days are pretty much Monday and Tuesday (Wednesday half day). So if any invites are out this week, today and tomorrow is it.

i also think its a bell, but a bell with more weight to the right. i dont know for stanford, but for wharton, the applications goes to 2-4 people including students and adcoms. that means if your application comes to a slow reader, it will naturally take more time.

using this reasoning, i believe at average most invites goes after 3 readers which was last week and this week (until wednesday cause thanksgiving). and some the following week to the slow readers or those who had to go through 4 readers.

but maybe not. I dont know the mechanism of stanford evaluation. i just hope to get an interview. good luck to all.
