Hmm is it just me or are almost all of the people reporting interviews for both S and W from either a top UG and/or a large IB/PE/MNC?

Just wondering.

I know, right? We're all going nuts over here!

My guess is that it won't be too far off from HBS's invite date (for school competitive reasons)... although this is just a guess. I didn't apply to HBS, but according to HBS's blog, invites will go out on 2/12.

It's been pretty quiet this week and last...

2/17 is mid-decision (half way point between Jan 6 and Mar 31.) I am guessing if they've been behind on invites as they were in R1, most of the invites will be out by end of Feb or first week of March. All interviews usually need to be completed by 1-2 weeks before the notification deadline, so given these facts that I have gleaned from the wonderful internets, I am going to cross Stanford off my list if February goes by with no word from Dear Mr Bolton.

Good luck everyone!

Sure!

It was, I'd say, 'by the books'. A brief intro from the interviewer, then a Q&A on: why an MBA? why now? why Stanford? Then, tell me about a time when you... (several of these, about leadership mostly, accomplishements, a tough situation, etc). Then I had the chance to ask some questions and voila, that was it. Kind of hard to read whether you do fine or not, but I guess it is on purpose so interviewees don't get wrong signals (positive or negative), and I am fine with it, I just wish I could have left the room more reassured...

Where are you located? How long was the interview? Did the interviewer have a similar background with your's?

I think I'm going to follow suit, especially after reading this: https://forums.businessweek.com/n/pfx/fo ... &tid=10180. For those of us who have applied to HBS, let's see what Friday brings.

I guess the last couple of days have been HBS HBS HBS for most of us. And if HBS didn't invite you with all their extra places - you have to wonder what the odds of getting an invite from Stanford are!

Does anyone have a clear idea of how Stanford does this or is it really just a random and rolling process? I'm not able to find anything useful online that suggests any kind of structure to the process.

My guess was that Stanford would've started pushing out some invites this week as well given the HBS flurry yesterday.

There's some activity on the Business Week forums. One invite in London so far - unfortunately not for me. Sigh....

congratulations, ttocsik. that's awesome.

does the invite come only via email or is it also accompanied by an update to your application status?
